Anthony who?

Ok, so I'm sitting here in the 4th quarter laughing at the fact that ESPN.com had the Patriots as a 10 point UNDERDOG in today's game and the score right now is 34-13. I think it's about time the media stops trying to find everything wrong with the Patriots and everything right with their opponents....They're not 13-0 because they're getting lucky, they're 13-0 because not a single team has found a way to beat them....I'm gonna use one of the most overused quotes from Fast and the Furious, "Doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."

No one seems to remember both the Ravens and the Eagles had their chances to put the Patriots away with less than 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and they couldn't do it...everyone just complains about the final "questionable calls" against the Ravens. All the Ravens had to do was get a first down with less than 5 minutes to play and the game was over.

Let's face it people, the Patriots (as of right now) are the 2nd best football team of all time with the capability to become the best football team of all time.

Oh yeah, good bit of football trivia...The '72 Dolphins won 3 games by a touchdown or less....so as long as the Patriots don't have another close call, they're better than the '72 Dolphins

Since no one else has bothered to answer your question I will.

I have listened to the interview... and the media is clearly blowing this out of proportion. He made the statement "if we play like we should"... he qualified his guarantee! All it does is make a loss for the Steelers burn a little more.

Whether the Pats win or not they showed their maturity and tact by just smiling at would be up starts trying to get their name in the papers. Did you see Tom Brady's face. He almost started laughing.

Why give the Pats any more motivation to beat you? If they were smart they would keep the trash talk inside the white lines and be humble to the public.

So yeah I think its true that this is a media bit. I just rolled my eyes at it.
I'm sure looking forward to that game though!

to respond to your question i think of guarentees are only a bad thought. TO all yet guarenteed a win at domicile and that they lost by ability of 21 to the Patriots, Miami guarenteed that the Patriots would not get out to a speedy initiate and the Patriots led 40 two-7 at 0.5 time. Granted, Miami isnt very good however the Cowboys are 10 circumstances greater valuable than the steelers. It only motivates the different component, no longer something greater. I dont think of it motivates your teammates, i think of it creates distractions. so a approaches as Pitt vs New England this weekend, i'd assume new england to blow them out. Pittsburg has only performed 2 communities above 500 all season, the Browns and Seahawks and neither a type of communities are that surprising. Tom Brady is 4-a million profession vs the Steelers and maximum of those video games the Patriots have been underdogs and blew out the steelers, averaging only over 28 factors consistent with game in those video games. project the Steelers have, is that in case you are able to cope with the blitz you are able to score at will against the steelers. Brady has the final passer score against the blitz this season that any one has seen this late in a season in a protracted time. The Patriots have been a splash complacent those days yet i think of having an extra day without work for the team and the reality that this game is for clinching at undergo minimum a well-known around bye(the can easily additionally clinch the AFC with and indy loss yet i dont see indy dropping) yet they want the bye and that would desire to maintain them concentrated adequate to submit some factors and save the steelers offense in examine.

The media is using anything they can for ratings!! Anthony Smith saying that was just perfect as far as the media was concerned because now they have a new story. It's hard coming up with stories between games.

So yes he the media is using him as patsy but the media wouldn't have been able to use him in that manner had he not made that statemen.

And maybe Smith can borrow some humble pop corn from Terrell Owens. T.O. being the last opponent who made a public declaration that his team would beat the Patriots.
Vegas has the Pats at a 10 1/2 point favorite, so not everyone is sure that the Pats will lose. Could they? Possibly, they came close the last two weeks. Will they? I don't think so and I hope not.

I think they have a very good chance this week. With the top ranked defense in the league and a running game that will take advantage of the Pats very giving run defense over the past few weeks.

they dont need to talk it up the Steelers will just do the d*** thing in a couple days.

Steelers have a chance at winning, but somehow the patriots will pull some lame *** card out of their *** so they can have the game won before the game starts

Funny how all these teams say they will win and are cocky, but they just can't pull it off. Steelers are washed up nothings.
