I think an 18 team competition would be a benefit. Each team could play each other once for a more fairer home & away system than now in place - some teams now fare worse than others in regard to how many times they may play a top side during the season. I can see that AFL wants two teams in QLD & NSW as already in WA & SA. Poor old Tassie look like being left in the lurch. It's all about sponsors dollars.
