This is the best series in Nascar! The best racing by far. So lets just enjoy it before it goes Hollywood like the rest.
I'm not sure from the article if Nascar wanted more money per year to extend the contract or if Sears just wants to spend their advertising dollars elsewhere. That may come out later!

Leave it to Nascar to try to fix something that's not broke..The truck series is great, Craftsman just sound great with the trucks. But then Nascar is being coming Nas$car. I love the truck races its real racing, banging, bumping, rubbing, scraping, side to side racing.. Hopefully Nascar will find another sponsor that fits the trucks..

I hope they find another good sponsor. The trucks are great to watch. I think the ratings have been up for the truck races, while the Cup ratings are down. Nascar is probably wanting a lot more money from the sponsor for the trucks.

According to the article, Sears/Craftsman decided not to sponsor the truck series after 2008. It was not NASCAR's decision. I just hope the new sponsor doesn't want to change things.

I think Craftsman can afford what NASCAR is asking for, but doesn't feel it is worth it. They might be leaving before the house that France built comes tumbling down. NASCAR has been loosing viewers every year over the past 5 years, but they keep asking for more money.

How do you know that it wasn't Craftsman's decision to end their sponsorship run? What makes you think it has anything to do with NASCAR's "greedy ways?"

The racing won't change, just the name of the series. The cup series has changed names and kept the racing good as well as the Busch series now becoming the Nationwide series.Maybe a change will be for the better. It won't stop me from watching.

Sears hasn't been doing all that great financially in the last few years, it was going to happen sooner than later.

seems like the dollars make more sense to them than the fans do and its a shame, viewership down, ticket sales down, they should be getting a message, but they are not
