Ok, since everyone is complaining that women shoud be paid less in Grand Slam Tennis tournamnets, because they play less sets, why don't tehy just make the men play the same as women in the nimber of sets. So make men's matches a best out of 3 sets just like womens, and don't give me any crap that is to little for men to play, because they pllay like that in regular tournaments.

I read in Sports Illustrated he was the highest played player ever in the NFL when he signed his 10 year deal with the Falcons. Was he still the highest ever payed player in the NFL before the Bad Newz Kennels arose or has he been passed by someone? If so, who's the highest ever payed player in the NFL's history.

Which sport in your opinion has lost its credibility the most and also has take the most heat?

Baseball and Bonds breaking the all time home run record with a cloud of steroid allegations over him?

Basketball and the Tim Donaghy (Dirty Ref who bet on games) scandal?

Football with Pac Man and others getting into a lot of trouble with the law ALONG with Michael Vick and the dogfighting charges?

Cycling? Tour De France and several of its top cyclists and leaders of the tournament getting caught/kicked outta the tournament due to steroids charges

Wrestling? Death of Chris Benoit (one of the faces of the WWE) and couple others

Boy, Hockey looks like an angel at the moment haha...

When do you think the record at MIS will be broken and where.
This is tough because it seems that NASCAR in their infinate wisdom, dreams up ways to slow the cars down every time they reach 200+.

I need to get home tickets... in the month of Oct..... why you ask... well the fighting Irish are my husband's favorite college football team.... he will be home for RR for like 18 days... this is his 3rd deployment and i really wanted to have an awesome suprise for him... i thought gettin him the impossible tickets would be great please help if you can!!!!

Can anyone show me tangible proof that it exists? Is there someone whose career clutch stats shout "clutch hitter" when compared to his normal stats? Or is it another case of seeing a guy have a nice run (like Ortiz last season) and getting a reputation? Further, could it be a case of having a good hitter facing a less-than-good pitcher? Or choke pitching instead of clutch hitting?

In short, is there real proof, or is it a cliché?

Henderson scored three straight game-winning goals in Moscow during the 72’ summit series and led the tournament with seven goals in eight games. So why does the Hall treat this Canadian hero like he was covered in leeches? It has nothing to do with his performance on the ice.

According to the Hall these are the attributes players need to qualify: Playing ability, sportsmanship, character and their contribution to teams and the game of hockey.

1) Playing ability: Henderson played 1,067 games in the NHL and WHA, scored 376 goals and collected 760 points. Thirty-six inductees can’t match those numbers. He also played in two Stanley Cup finals and two all-star games. He never won a Cup, but there are 40 inductees in the Hall who also failed in that department, including Cam Neely.
2) Sportsmanship: In 19 years of major professional hockey, he received one fighting major.
3) Character: Any player who could work for over a decade under the likes of Sid Abel and Punch Imlach should never have his character questioned.
4) Contribution: In 1962, he led Hamilton to its one and only Memorial Cup championship and his performance in 1972 resulted in the Hall naming Team Canada the greatest of the 20th century.

What should anger you most as a hockey fan is who has been inducted. In a political move to pave the way for Russian players to join the NHL, goalie Vladislav Tretiak was honoured in 1989. Tretiak gave up six goals in that final game in ‘72, including the winner. The same politics that got Tretiak in have kept Henderson out.

In 1974, Henderson jumped from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Toronto Toros of the WHA. At the time the general manager of the Leafs was Jim Gregory, now chairman of the Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee. It would appear Gregory will never forgive or forget.

I am 25 and can ski pretty damn good. I was looking at getting snowboard pants and a snowboard jacket rather than ski stuff. I am not into all of the preppy Mountain Hardwear/Northface crap I like the way the Burton stuff looks. I am just wondering will there be a performance difference? I am looking at the Burton Apres jacket and snowboard pants (because they are not nut huggers).

Puerta has passed and I remember watching Marc-vivien-foe go the same way on live tv. I sometimes get dizzy when I play hard on really hot days. Makes me wonder.
