I read in Sports Illustrated he was the highest played player ever in the NFL when he signed his 10 year deal with the Falcons. Was he still the highest ever payed player in the NFL before the Bad Newz Kennels arose or has he been passed by someone? If so, who's the highest ever payed player in the NFL's history.

Peyton Manning has a 7 year $100 million contract, but Vick had a 10 year $130 million contract which was worth less per season, but more total.
Tom Brady took less money than he could have gotten (he probably could have gotten $150 million if he wanted it) so that the Patriots would have more cap room (they led the league in cap space last year and won 12 games, than spent their money this year).
No other players really are of high enough caliber to get a contract like that.

1. Was Donovan McNabb
2. Then Peyton Manning
3.Then Micheal Vick
4. Now thanks to Vick's mistakes Peyton Manning is again.

From what i heard Peyton Manning was the highest paid NFL player with a salary of $35,037,700. But i also heard Micheal Vick's salary is $130,000,000. So i guess it's true.

yeah, he was the highest paid player. i believe it was within the last couple years where a deal was made out. however, now peyton manning is the highest player. getting paid nearly double what tom brady and brett favre makes.

i don't think of Vick is a nasty guy i think of he merely made an extremely irresponsible and stupid mistake so i could supply him yet another possibility Henry on the different hand has been arrested what number cases? Vick had the largest contract in terms of total money, but Manning's contract paid him more per season, but for fewer seasons.
