I think it is too much exposure for a bunch of kids. Let them play in front of their families and friends. A tournament crowd is fine. But national TV is a bit much.

the little league world series is a joke. Why are 12 year old kids playing for a championship on national television??? It puts too much pressure on the kids, coaches, and parents. All the suits at LLWS care about is sponsors and advertising. Not the kids

No offense, but the LLWS is nowhere close to the best thing we have seen in sports in years. Yes, it is great that American won, and all those kids got to do what they love on national television, but it was just a meaningless game. Plenty of other stories of greater importance have happened over the years, like this year alone, with Jon Lester, Phil Kessel, and Tedy Bruschi all overcoming huge medical setbacks, and coming back to help their team win. There is three better stories right their. The LLWS is great, but it in definitely not the best thing that has happened in sports.

I hate to rain on the parade, but I didn't find anything all that exciting about it. I don't really enjoy watching kids play a game as compared to watching the pros, and it was disappointing to see the championship won on what I'd call an "aluminum bat pop fly" that made it over the fence.

Kudos to those kids, but I've seen many better things in sports even over the past year.
