last year Troy Smith really looked like a Heisman winner when he was getting chased down and sacked from behind by Florida.. VY looked like an all-pro QB vs USC in 2005.. so I was just pondering this because I read Terry Bowdens collumn on yahoo sports.. it said basically that the winner of the heisman will be the QB or RB from the #1 team at the end of the season regardless of wether or not they are the best player in college football.. strangely I agree with that assessment

I'd have to say Larry Bird although an arguement could be made for Pete Maravich. Whos do you say? Walto, Nash, Dirk. someone else?

Their looking pretty good now, they have their offense together now they just need to work a little bit on defense and they will be unstoppable. they won both preseason games with high scores!!!!!! the most they ever scored last year was 14 points

He caught a significant ball, and didn't turn it over to the NL/player as one normally would do. Now, he says he can't afford it because of taxes (which I don't get), so he is offering it up for auction on Ebay?

Why doesn't he just turn it over to Bonds now? Is it because he is a money grubbing little *****? Or is it because he thinks that Bonds or the baseball hall of fame are not interested in the ball?

Just wondering. This will be a long 15 minutes of fame...

This is an opinion question, against the best answer will go to the person providing the best reasoning for your answer. There are no correct answers...although 'puck bunny' responses are incorrect answers.

During the last several years (and by several this argiment goes back to the 80s) there have been several NHL people who feel that the Hockey Hall of Fame is too easy to get into.

Baseball has flirted with 500 homers, 300 wins, 3000Ks etc as 'automatic' qualifications. Football has flirted with sack, TD, and Passing Yard numbers.

If you were to create criteria for entering the Hockey Hall of Fame, what would they be and how would you apply them?

I have skied for 3 years now and only done season rentals. I can easily do Blacks without Moguls and can hold my own on Double blacks and am not bad on blacks with moguls. My favorite kind of skiing is the bowls you can hike up to that are very steep and not skied a ton. If I could have ratings on a ski this is what I would want it to look like.
40% Bowls
25% Moguls/Trees
15% Powder
10% Terrain Park
10% Groomed Blues/Black

I was looking at the K2 Apache Recons until someone told me that they might be to stiff
Now I am thinking about the K2 Public Enemy something in the Salomon XWing series or anything else that people can suggest.

Also I would appreciate suggestions on the style of boot I should get. Some people have told me that I should not get a stiff boot but I don’t know if that’s right.

If it makes any difference I am17 years old and very skinny at 6 feet 130LBS. My parents are pretty skinny so I won’t gain tons of weight.

Thanks for the help!!

Griffin was the former no.1 high school player in American. He had loads of upside. The Rockets in fact drafted him no. 7 overall in the 2001 NBA draft. He was a player with tremendous potential, but he never came through on it. He never got it. What do you think?

Calling Dog fighting a sport like hunting?
((CBS/AP) NEW YORK New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury defended Michael Vick, calling dogfighting a sport and comparing it to hunting.
Marbury spoke Monday about the federal dogfighting conspiracy charges against Vick while promoting his basketball shoe in Albany, N.Y.
"I think it's tough," Marbury said, according to Albany TV station Capital News 9. "I think, you know, we don't say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals. You know, from what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors." On Monday, Vick said through a lawyer that he will plead guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and conspiracy to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture. He also faces possible prosecution in Virginia.
"I think it's tough that we build Michael Vick up and then we break him down," Marbury said. "I think he's one of the superb athlete"

I think so. The NFL is a second-chance league. Look how many chances they gave Ricky Williams. How about Lawrence Phillips. Granted they were both under the reign of former comissioner Paul Tagliabue, nevertheless Vick has not been severely involved in any other incidents beside the silly water bottle incident. Vick is still young (he is only 27 years old) I know this year is finished for Vick however can he salvage the rest of his career?

Just read a story about the guy who caught the Bonds Home run ball and is selling it cause he was going to be taxed for having it. In my mind, there is no place for government to try to squeeze a few bucks from this guy for having a baseball. is this wrong or is it me?

There are complaints about the current alignment by the western teams due to the travel schedule. The five Northwest division teams, for example, are spread out over a much larger geographic area than the Atlantic division.

How would you realign if you had the chance to fix this?

During the race one of the big liquor companies (Jack or Jim) I don't remember which, ran an ad.Now,I'm not a big T.V. watcher other then Nascar, but does anyone know if they advertise Hard liquor on any other program.I also know they pulled all hard liquor ads years ago although I believe by agreement not law.Have I just been missing the fact they are advertising or is this new? I really don't care either way it just intriqued me and I wondered what the rest of you knew about the subject, any one think they shouldn't?

Why there are so many trolls in the Nascar section? Regardless of what these trolls say the Nascar fans here remain with their respect and class even when trolls bash the Nascar sport. Which I believe is a great reflection of why Nascar is what is today. I am a Nascar fan and always will be I love it and truly do appreciate the respect given from all the other fans and I'm glad I can come here and talk with other Nascar fans as well. Thank you race fans!!!!
