Preseason football is preseason football. It's pretty much the scrubs fighting for roster spots and isn't that indicative of how a team will do in the regular season.
That said, I think the Lions have incredible potential this year. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they make it to the playoffs, especially if the ball bounces their way, so to speak.

Well Chad my man, there in the NFC so anything could happen, but you did hit the nail on the head they need defense, BADLY!!!! Of course the saints didnt have much of a defense last year, well there run d was pretty good and heck they made it to the NFC championship game. So it is a reach they will make. Improbable but not impossible

I think just you. You sound like Roy Williams: "Do you know how ridiculously close we were to scoring 40 points?"
You're talking about preseason, which means absolute dogshit in terms of regular-season success.
Unstoppable--hardly.
3rd or 4th in the NFC North, maybe 2nd if MIN stinks up the joint. Its going to be a long season, and Kitna is going to be answering a lot of stupid questions. "You've only won 5 games this year--what happened?"

Well as a Vikings fan I will tell you, Our division is putrid and somebody has to win, the Lions have two good things in their favor < the Vikings and the Packers. The Lions do however have two huge obstacles to overcome. The Bears and Matt Millen.

not this year I think, because they haven't shown enough potential, besides other teams are just trying things out before the actual season begins. So if the Lions settle on their current strategy thinking they're ready to go, they better watch out because they've probably already been read by other teams.

It could happen. But MY team ,that dread-naught of power- The Green Bay Packers will be there to stand in their way! Even if Brett Favre is the only name on the roster I recognize.

No, simply because they are the Lions and will find a way to foul up.
With the players they have, however, there is no reason that they shouldn't make the playoffs.

you're funny.
their offense is going to be a potent force, but they're the Lions. Look for the Bears to return to the SuperBowl this year

You, Matt Millen, and Jon Kitna may be the only ones on the face of the earth.
