This is ridiculous, but here is my all-time white starting five.....
PG-John Stockton(Nash perhaps, but Stock was pretty flawless)
SG-Jerry West (Maravich is up there....)
SF-Larry Bird(No Question)
PF-Kevin Mchale(Maybe Dirk, more versatile, but Mchale was unstoppable in the post)
C-Bill Walton(when healthy was very good...Mikan honorable mention)

20 Answers in and still no one mentions John Havlicek or Dave Cowens or Bob Petite.
Havlicek, West, Petite, and Bird could all make the case as the greatest caucasian to play the game.

Yeah, Larry Bird was no doubt the best, could shoot, rebound, pass, steal, layup, play defense and best of all he was a winner!
I'd say John Stockton is the 2nd best white player of all-time, dude could shoot, assist and steal (all-time leader in both), play hard Defense, came close to a title twice too. He had a longer career, if they had won the title I'd put him ahead of Larry.

Larry Bird.
I watched the Celtics win the NBA Finals in '86 and he was the man.
