Sports - 11 July 2007

I notice a lot of arguments on here about which is the better sport. Usually it's North and South Americans (like me) arguing for baseball, while most of the rest of the world argues for cricket.

My question is this - does our preference for one or the other depend entirely on where we grow up? If I grew up in England, would I prefer cricket? And would it work both ways? And does that say anything about either sport?

For the record, I did play cricket a little when I was younger and enjoyed it, just not as much as baseball, which was much more familiar to me.

I'm going to the Busch race next weekend at Gateway International Speedway (actually in Illinois), but it made me wonder why there is no Cup race there. I've been to Indy there, I know they have the truck series there, they obviously also have Busch (because I'm going next weekend), I think they also have NHRA, so why no cup??

I repeat, BETTER ACTING. Hogan can't get enough credit for this film, and his supporting cast, led by Tiny Lister, is simply unbelievable.

Bench has a .267 carrer batting average Berra has a .285.

Bench had 1,376 R.B.I.'s Berra had 1430.

Bench won two world series Berra won 10.

Bench won two M.V.P.'s Berra won three.

See my point?

Berra by far is better then Bench.
