I'm looking for a Birthday gift....

A replica Winchester Carbine "The Riflemen" Replica Rifle

(somewhat like the one used by John Wayne)

37" blued finish barrel. Wood stock and forearm with blued trim

I have tried sworddepot.com, however they are unable to import these replicas into Canada. So I was wondering if there is somewhere already in Canada that I could get one.

...or maybe there is a legal way to import one into Canada from another country.

Yes I did mean replica non-working model.

.... I've seen the JW one... I'm not looking for that one but the one I was looking for does have the loop lever!

I know which one I want... I am just having a hard time finding somewhere in Canada that has one, as I can't get one imported!

Try this link:

Notice the bottom rifle the 1892 El Darado big loop. I think this might be close to what you are looking for. Cimarron Firearms are made in Italy and imported to many countries. I suspect that they do business in Canada. Most any licensed dealer should be able to acquire one for you.

Good luck

I would type " commemorative rifles" into the search bar and see what you can come up with. There are other sites like gunbroker.com and collectorsfirearms.com that may have some of those. There was a John Wayne commemorative but it has been about 20 years ago it cam out. You still them for sale.

You could refine you search just by typing John Wayne commemorative lever action rifle.

I believe it was a Winchester model 92 with the large bow lever. I can remember if it was in .30-.30 caliber or if it was in a pistol caliber. You may even find this in dixiegunworks.com. They will have a number of lever action cartridge guns.

It's too bad you cant import them. You did mean a working firearm and not just a display gun?
