I think the Blazers will be better this year and probally narrowally miss the playoffs and the sonics will probally grab the 7th or 8th seed because i think Durant can come in the league and average 20 points and Green can get you about 16 a game so they will be a fast uptempo team. But overall in the future it will be the Blazers. But what does everybody think?

Ok, yes he will break Hank Aaron's home run record this year. It's unfortunate, since Hank is one of the games greatest home run hitters, but why is it that Bonds is classed as a great baseball player? Sammy Sosa hit 600 home runs, sports radio wasn't interested due to steroids. Yes that milestone should have an asterix, but then they said you look at great players, and bonds was clumped with Aaron and Ruth. Yes Bonds hits homers, but his body mass also grew massively from his early years in Pittsburgh. Bonds, like Sosa was drafted as a good hitter, but ultimately a speedy outfielder with decent power. Not until the performance enhancing scandals did these guys really start to jack bombs. Bonds' fielding has fallen even worse every year starting back about 6 or 7 yrs, and he doesn't have a good career average. I'm confused as to why this guy even is considered an all time great. I think his and any record broken buy a steroid suspect should have an asterix.

i'm new to indy racing, so if this is stupid, go easy on me. but why are sarah fisher and milka duno even out there? i don't mean to pick on the ladies, not my point. but duno sucks it up every race and fisher always seems to finish a few laps down. can't they get some better people to replace these two? do they even have a chance at ever winning? duno was lapped so quickly tonight, then fisher was just getting in everybody's way. has fisher won in indy in the past? or even come close?

I am a huge Timberwolves fan and love Garnett, but honestly I want him out of MN. I want him to win a championship and also with him having the option to opt out of his contract after next year I want the wolves to get something for him. That said, any ideas on where he could end up. Phoenix, LA, ATL, Dallas, another team, or back in Minneapolis.

The 1972 Dolphins played the weakest schedule of any team to ever make a Superbowl. That is a fact. They played one team in the regular season that even had a winning record.

I think that the 1985 Chicago Bears have made their case as the greatest team of all time. Yes, they lost a game. They also played a much tougher schedule than the Dolphins (obviously). The Bears absolutely dominated the entire league with the greatest defense ever assembled. In fact, the entire defensive unit should probably be put in the Hall of Fame. Their margin of victory was about 18 points, a ridiculous margin at the professional level, higher than any other team. Their margin of victory in the Superbowl was the largest ever as well, until later surpassed by the '89 49ers... who are probably the only other team with Miami to vie for this title of GOAT.

Regular season: 15-1
Combined with playoffs: 18-1

both tied with the 84 49ers for a 16 game season.

Hal Newhouser won back-to-back MVPs as a PITCHER ('44 & '45) and had more than a few darn good seasons, but no one seems to remember him. Granted, those were slim years for players, but, still, for a PITCHER to win them! He had 275 SOs one year. He was pretty great. Hall of famer, but no one mentions him much.

i use a 2 handed back hand but i see that all the players grab it like a baseball bat or have thier hands a little space in between. but when i play i grab the handle with both of my hands together or almost on top of each other, this hasn't cause me any promblems in my game, but i'm wondering if i should keep it this way or try to learn it like most of the pros do it, or the proper way.

I heard on ESPN that someone had suggested that the World Series should be extended to a best five-of-nine series, and that Bud Selig didn't seem to rule it out. Wouldn't that be the worst idea EVER?

I like the pure passing style, I enjoyed watching Dan Fouts, Dan Marino, Kurt Warner, etc.... Leftwich, I thought, would be the next guy to do this, judging by college, style, and arm strength. Why has this not hapened yet ? Also, whom will be the next pure passing QB to rival Manning, whether from college or the pros. Rivers, Brohms, Jamarcus Russell, who can challenge Marinos', Favres', Mannings', Warners' records ?

For projectiles, 45° is only necessarily the optimal launch angle if ALL of the following apply - otherwise you have to consider specific cases of the eqns:

- the elevation of launch and landing are both equal => s_y(0) = s_y(t1) (usually taken as reference 0, but it's irrelevant)

- there are no obstacles to be cleared along the trajectory
(i.e. elevation of the terrain s_y(x) <= 0)

- there is no (or negligible) wind or resistance force (e.g. air resistance) => a_x = 0, a_y = -mg

- there is both correct rifling and the bullet is balanced, so that the projectile does not exhibit precession and yaw off at unreliable angles. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifling)
For a gun, the bullet fits the barrel, the grooves are correctly machined to match it, and the exhaust gases are symmetric (may depend on venting).

- For a weapon, the shooter did not move while shooting.
Not sure if the terrain affects whether recoil forces work.

How many more valid reasons can you suggest?

(Chris Benoit) was seen at the gym sometime prior to the murders. If he was that depressed I doubt he would care about working out. Could it be that he didn't do the murders and we are only hearing what the media has told us and that they may be jumping the gun? Who really knows what went on in that house?
