Be it to their members or to society. It can be physically, mentally, or emotionally dangerous... HOWEVER... I want you to back up your claim with a reason. No ranting, just dialogue.

"All of them" is not an answer. I understand how religion in general can be seen as harmful. I want everyone to list ONLY three religions with three reasons.

Thank You.

Well am catholic but my view on god is very different from that of most Christians, Jews and other religious people.
first of all, many Christians believe that god is all powerful because HE has supernatural powers. Second, they think that god can break the laws of nature using SUPERNATURAL powers (when you call them miracles).

i disagree on this view, i think that GOD is all powerful not because he uses supernatural powers but because HE HAS KNOWLEDGE!

i think that he knows how everything works and he takes advantage of his knowledge to create universes or even us humans.

I was taught the bible story of creation and how GOD created the universe. YES this story implies a supernatural power behind creation when GOD takes mud (or dirt) and makes the first human.

in my personal opinion, i think that GOD uses knowledge to create live. HE knows how to combine the right elements in order to create a human!

is my view on GOD nearly right or wrong?

I now some LDS members would say both. I`ve heard that Mormon elders teach pupils that the Bible has been translated so many times that it contains errors, and they teach the book of Mormon is the unadlutered word of God.

Is this true?

Since my early age I v often thought about death

now I am 34, I see my mom hair becomes whiter and more thick wrinkles on her face

my favourite songs can hardly be heard on the radio.
my old friends cant laugh and talk like they used to do.

Everything changed and is changing ,I really feel everything is like dust in the wind makes me feel sad even feel like crying .

I see the beauty of life but at the same time its emptyness

it hurts my heart.

Somebody out there like me? how do you treat this kind of feeling?

When I asked: Why do Christians try to legislate a morality in which the freedoms of others are marginalized? (abortion, same-sex marriage) The Constitution protects minority rights while allowing majority rule: Hence, "murder," while it affects none of us personally, these activities DO infringe upon the rights of others guaranteed in the constitution: life, liberty, and due process (see Amendment 14). Thus, as murder infringes upon other people's right to life and liberty, property, these are against the law--not "moral" laws, individual rights laws. Same-sex marriage that DOESN'T infringe upon fundamentalist freedoms to live as they wish--doesn't even infringe on their rights to speak out against it! And as for abortion being "murder," I point out this verse: Exodus 21:22-25: And if men struggle and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide

I'm watching the Jesus Camp now and was wondering your take on it. Now grant it, it is about to go off, but I find it Highly Offenseive in the testament of God.
When the teacher and the children speak in supposed tounges, do they know what they are saying, for that matter, do the others know what they are saying?....I could not understand them, thus they did me no good and pass No information on to me.
What is the deal with saying a pledge to the flag in a matter that they did, or to make a pledge to the Bible in the way that they did?
Those on here who know me by my answers, know that I'm a Beleiver in God, but have many of Christians and Atheists alike who do not like my answers., but I must say that this program was wrong in the teachings that God wants.
What are your thoughts on this issue and or way of teaching the children about God?
Thanks
and Blessings to all

I have never seen this as an important debate within our faith. And I am always amazed that some do. How could not taking the book of Genesis literally mean you don't believe that Jesus Christ is divine?

Christianity insists that homosexual people "act straight," get married and have heterosexual sex. "Reformed" gay Christians are passing their genes down to their children, who have a good chance of becoming gay Christians as well.

If they were simply allowed to have sex with persons of their own gender, without pressure, gay Christians wouldn't be having gay Christian children. They might remain childless, or they might adopt a child, but they wouldn't be passing on their "gay genes."

Homosexuality has been relatively rare, since those who preferred their own gender were less likely to reproduce. But by using religion to manipulate some homosexuals into having children, is it likely that the genes responsible for homosexuality are being spread more effectively? Is Christianity the cause of the increase in homosexual behavior?

I was watching this show Jesus Camp and I've seen it before but it kinda really hit me where I have seen this before. The Hitler Youth movement or Hitler Jugend? Does anybody see the connection. Look at the photo at http://www.history.ucsb.edu/faculty/marcuse/classes/133p/133p04papers/KFrabottaHitlerYouth046.htm and tell me these are not the same faces? As a secondary question, did anybody else choke on their Pepsi at the beginning when the very obese woman is telling the kids how Americans are fat and lazy and they need to learn how to go without food? Jeez.. guess that is so she would have more? Anyway, I shouldn't make light of a very serious thing. But seriously for those of you who know about the Hitler Jugend, can you see the similarity that I do? Blew me away when I realized what I was seeing. Scary. And sad.

Isn't responding to my intense love for Him? I feel that He has abandoned me. I can't even enjoy my favorite activities, the time I spend with family and friends, and my breakfast, lunch, and dinner, without thinking about Him. My love for God is consuming me. I think about Him 24/7. I want to have an intimate relationship with Him like Jesus did. I want to live life in the spirit like Jesus did. But with all of this false teaching and the focus on wealth doctrine, I can't seem to get answers from the church. Instead this "prosperity doctrine" seems to be creating a system in the church that is similar to the system of the world..and that is the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. I want the basics of how to be like Jesus. I don't care about money or wealth. To me a life without a deep relationship with God like Jesus had, makes life useless. Is there anyone out there that can help me get to the same place spirituality where Jesus, Smith Wigglesworth were?
