Greetings, I was an atheist up until today. I am poor, and can't afford much in this life. My life has been pathetically performed up until I got a true sign last night.
My main computer has crashed, and my life is a mess. I haven't believed in a god up until last night at work.
I got a sign...
There was prego sauce, and barilla pasta in the same asile at my work, both in the popcorn section.
It MUST be a sign of the one true religion.
I think I have truly been touched by his noodely appendage.
Is there a place to legally download a legal copy of the one true gospel in life?

Ramen!!, may your day be sauced.

Athiest, how do you feel believing that after your short life is over you will never exist again in the history of the earth?

“So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come?...These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?...This ‘prophet’ was not one man, but was a body of men and women. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses...Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a prophet’ of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record. What does it show?” (The Watchtower, April 1, 1972, p. 197)

"...the 'battle of the great day of God Almighty'(Rev. 16:14), which will END in A.D. 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth's present rulership is already commenced." (Pastor Russell, Founder of the Watchtower, THE TIME IS AT HAND, pg.101 1908 ed)

"...in the year 1918, when God DESTROYS THE CHURCHES WHOLESALE and the church members by the millions... (Pastor Russell, FINISHED MYSTERY 1917 ed. pg.48

It says in the bible (I'm not sure where but I know its in there) to love everyone. Yet, people still hate. I thought it meant to love EVERYONE, gays, terrorists, murderers, child abusers, rapists, non-christians, ect. I'm not categorizing them in the same group though! Theres a big difference in that I find it easier to care for gays and non-christians than terrorists or murderers... It has to be hard to follow that path and love someone who could abuse or kill without feeling guilt, especially for the parents of young children who are kidnapped and raped or killed. How do you go about being a good Christian and forgive that?
"And forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us". It would make me feel as guilty as the murderer if I could forgive that easily.
What do you people think?

I know that God exist as well as others. That doesent give us christains the right to disrespect atheists.

If i could i would die for an atheists because i care for them as much as i care for christains.

I mean God bless this whole world.

I hope this dosen't sound too emotional.

Why do the majority of us seem to settle for a life void of the power available to us through Holy Spirit?
We have the same power that Jesus had, the same power that raised Him from the tomb. Yet we walk around every day in defeat. We are not casting out demons, praying for the sick, blind, deaf, amputees and even the dead. God wants to use us to change the world, but we must take the first step. That is a step of faith. All HE wants us to do is trust Him and pray for others in 100% faith, then stand back and watch God work.

I do not know about you, but I am sick of our current form of dead, powerless Christianity.

Will you join me in a new life like Peter said, "Silver and cold have I none, but what I do have I give to you, now stand up and walk."
We have this in us now let's start using it and change the world!!!!

“…absolutely nothing, has ever shown up in any New World excavation which would suggest… that the Book of Mormon…is a historical document relating to the history of early migrants to our hemisphere (Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought, Summer 1973, pp.41, 42, 46).

I just finished a my geometry class and can honestly say that this was the best class ever!

I loved the proof we did. I can now argue, at least in geometry, in such a way that I cant lose! I know thats not much but i want to apply this way of thinking to other aspects of my life. I finished at the top of my class only because i memorized each and every theorem, axiom, corolary and definition. Also, I made sure I fully understood each. Now I can see and have a way of forcing my mind to logically go from one piece of knowledge to a conclusion that is irrefutable (at least in geometry) .

I want to know if this line of thinking has been applied to the existance of God.

Man, this class was fun.

You were there, how come you didn't do anything? If you tell me that God doesn't exist because he didn't prevent a tragedy, okay fine that is what you say.

However someone was there. "Someone" does exist, so where was that someone? People like Hitler, Pol Pot, and other tyrants did not act alone, they had a lot of people who followed them; believed in what they stood for.

So if you say God wasn't there because God doesn't exist. Then what of the people who were there? How come they didn't prevent the wrongs against man?

Most people I know are surprised to learn that I am an Atheist. In fact, they usually think that I am "very" Christian (as they put it) because of how I live my life. Seriously, do you think you could pick an Atheist out of a crowd, if you could talk to them without bringing up religion or God, etc.?

I'm a teen, and my mom is a JW. However, having been exposed to many different views at school from teachers and students, I have edged away considerably from the religion. I still have respect for these people- it's just that I find that the rules and regulations that come with this religion are too much for me. I think it would be awesome just to try to be able to be the best person you can be- to discover from ones' own mistakes and falls. I will still pray from time to time, I will still acknowledge the existance of God- it is just that I'm not sure I want to be part of this sector of Christianity any more. I guess that makes me 1% Christian, 99% atheist, really.

I'd like to see if any Brothers and Sisters can change my mind.

Okay, I don't care what you say, but I believe in God and I won't stop believing. I'm watching TV right now and this lady and guy are saying that the end of the world will come on Dcember 21 2012! He saying things from the Bible to support his idea that the world is coming to an end. And it makes so much sense to what's happening in the world right now! My parent's always told me that we'll never know when the world's end will come..but do you think it's coming? I'm really scared!

First we know that animals and humans and plants reproduce because they re not able to live forever and always need offspring to carry on their species or the species will die out, but God himself is eternal and does not die. He is all powerfull and is not in need of anyone to continue his line, because as the lord obviously he cant have a father because that would be something greater than him and he cant have a son or daughter because that woul be something greater than him down the road. And remember even in the old testament the lord says i am a jealous god, why would he want to share the spotlight with a son. HE destroys for trynna share his spotlight with a damn golden calf, so what makes you think the lord would not be angry if you started worshiping a man as his son.

Secondly just because jesus was a virgin birth doesnt make him the son of god. Because god does what he wants and all he has to say is be and it is. Remember adam and eve were created without father or mother.

Ok, my last question was really misunderstood by both camps. Im not calling anybody anything nor am I saying ALL believers in God. Also, I may have a few typos...big deal. please only answer my question.

When I talk to religious people they say that non believers are stupid because they wont accept what they "easily see".

They use analogies that i guess make sence. Like how can order and complexity come about from disorder and chaos. This seems to be true, but is it really? If i dont accept their logic does that make me stupid?

I mean, come on...just because we (humans) see in color and there are millions of colors to be seen does not mean that creation was behind this seeming coincidence. Is it not true that evolution also teaches that living organisms evolve to better adapt to thier environment? Does this not easily explain why both coexist? it s just cause and effect.

Also, is it not true that atheists of past and present demenstrated that they are not stupid? Science!

And that if Contsantine hadn't had his historic conversion i 312 A.D., which paved the way for Christianity's spread across Europe, we would still be paying homage to the twelve Lords of Kobol (e.g. Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Zeus, etc.) instead of Jesus?
