Atheists have more ideas to express... they go beyond the dogma.

The Christian is smarter because they can read the Bible and have the knowledge and the understanding of the Scriptures. An Atheist can read the Bible and never understand what it means.
It was written for believers only. One has to be led by the Holy Spirit to have an understanding of it, Atheists will never have that because they don't believe.

Conversation? Probably either/or I could freak out the christian by talking about my life as a Satanist. Or I could engage in intelligent conversation with the atheist.

Hang out? Atheist hands down. My best friend is an atheist.

Smarter religiously? That depends on the person. Christians are Christians because they don't really know very much about religion as a rule of thumb. An atheist could either be completely ignorant, or could be well versed in a variety of religions which could have been the reason for becoming an atheist in the first place.

I would think that a well-informed Christian would be much more interesting to talk to. After all, atheism is essentially reactionary nay-saying of anything religious. Listening to a litany of negatives is dull, dull, dull. I have yet to read a worthy contribution by an atheist.

...but then again, I suspect the person asking the question has already decided the answer they want to see!

Atheist, at least I could have a conversation with someone who wasn't fixated on an ancient tribal deity.

Apparently, atheists are interested in leading a lifestyle of debauchery or other pleasure-seeking, according to some of the posters on this site. If you were to observe my lifestyle intently, the only way that you could discern that I MIGHT be an atheist is that you'd never see me traveling to any church. I work and I go home to my family. That's about it. I find the arrogance of someone who assumes what sort of person that I am because of my personal (dis)belief system to be nothing less than infuriating. It reveals quite a bit about what sort of individuals that they are.

Atheists minds are dark and confused. They claim to be wise, but instead are utter fools. That's from Romans 1:18-32 in the Holy Bible.

Christian, Atheist, Depends on the Person

Christians for Conversations- It is fun to get into heated arguments with them because they are so narrow-minded, ignorant, and blind-sighted with their religion yet at the same time, they call us narrow-minded, ignorant, and blind-sighted.

Atheists for Friends - They are more open minded, friendly, and will not force their opinions on you. Christians will nag about you going to Hell, being sinful, and you are narrow-minded, ignorant, and blind-sighted for not believing in God.

Depends on the Person - Each person is different. There are really educated Christians and really dumb ones. The same for Atheists.

I am a Christian and there are exciting and intelligent people of all beliefs and nationalities. Religion or Atheism has little to do with a persons being exciting or "fun to hang out with."

Hmm. I would probably be intrigued by a atheists lifestyle because a person who doesnt believe in God scares me. I mean I'm ok with believing in whatever kind of God you want, but to not believe in any higher power? That scares me lol and im intrigued by fear. Smarter? Depends on the person. I know both an atheist and a preacher who are brilliant.

Atheists

I've found atheists to be more knowledgeable a lot of Christians about religion. I think they're more open to discussion about spirituality, logic, and religions.
