First we know that animals and humans and plants reproduce because they re not able to live forever and always need offspring to carry on their species or the species will die out, but God himself is eternal and does not die. He is all powerfull and is not in need of anyone to continue his line, because as the lord obviously he cant have a father because that would be something greater than him and he cant have a son or daughter because that woul be something greater than him down the road. And remember even in the old testament the lord says i am a jealous god, why would he want to share the spotlight with a son. HE destroys for trynna share his spotlight with a damn golden calf, so what makes you think the lord would not be angry if you started worshiping a man as his son.

Secondly just because jesus was a virgin birth doesnt make him the son of god. Because god does what he wants and all he has to say is be and it is. Remember adam and eve were created without father or mother.

apostle jeff why should anyone be born with the sins of their fathers. Yall believe we were created in gods image(Which I dont believe) so our daily affairs are resembling his. so when it comes to justice we always hold a person accountable for his own actions, we dont put the burden of his fathers sins on him.

if a murderer gets away we dont take his son and kill him. and when someone commits a crime, there is no universal scapegoat that absorbs the sin, so why would god create one.

free you say god would not be mad if we worshipped jesus, but atwhat other times in the bible do you see a people worshipping their prophet. do you see the people worshipping moses or aron because they were wise men, no. thats called polytheism, and god forbids that as that is the highest crime. associating others with him. They didnt worship joseph, they didnt worship jacob, they didnt worship joseph, tehy didnt worship elias, they didnt worship john, they didnt worship zacarias. and all these were the wisest of the wise. so why should jesus be called more than a messenger of allah. you say god needed someone to communicate to mankind with, hes done that throughout history with every nation, but he never called on them to worship his messengers.

and waterall what about the people before jesus

In Matthew, the angel appears to Joseph in a dream and tells him that Mary's child will save his people from their sins. In Luke, the angel tells Mary that her son will be great, he will be called the Son of the Most High and will rule on David's throne forever. A short time later Mary tells Elizabeth that all generations will consider her (Mary) blessed because of the child that will be born to her.

If this were true, Mary and Joseph should have had the highest regard for their son. Instead, we read in Mark 3:20-21 that Jesus' family tried to take custody of him because they thought he had lost his mind. And later, in Mark 6:4-6 Jesus complained that he received no honor among his own relatives and his own household.

dj mantx since the son is the father, when jesus died, god died, and when someone is dead their senses are taken away. so that would mean god is not omnipotent, and that would be pure blasphemy.

but also jesus several times refers to the father and himself as two different people

tomcat why is it that the old testament mention nothing during the creation period about a son and this idea came about just during the roman era under pontius pilate.

god doesnt need to create anything to experience anything. since he created everything.....everything.

would god send his own children to hell by the droves.......nope..but he will send his creation there if they disobey

Tuberoo, adam didnt have a mom or a dad and he is not considered a child of god. all allah had to say for jesus to come into existence was be and he was, and he was reinforced by allah.

death means for your flesh to die, to be gone but with that your senses will be gone for a period of time, and as you said the son is part of the father, so a part of the father died even if for a few moments

according to the bible "I and the father are one". sounds like a symbiotic relationship and the only way for that to end is they have to be broken from each other, which according to christianity is not the case.

you wil ltaste death and those are the worst hours of a mans existence.

so three in one, that is not possible. there cannot be three beings occupying the body of one. it is impossible for three things to occupy the same existence. there is one of everything, and never 3 in one.

this is really foolish, does it make sense that a monotheistic religion should have 2 other deities next to god. and on top of that pray to mary and a bunch of saints when allah is the only one who has the power to help or hurt

2007-12-30 18:37:08 · update #6

according to chrisitianity, god has died for your sins. (blasphemy) so if you believe in jesus you happen to be saved and you dont have to worry about a damn thing in this life and the afterlife, jesus loves the sinners. ha

you are held accountable for your sins, not jesus, not adam, not anyone. You committ murder, its on you. Your sins will not be magically forgiven by a scapegoat. only allah holds the keys to your fate, not the son or the holy spirit.

so what happens to all the people who never heard the message of christianity? They go to hell, huh?

there is a transition period after death where the spirit is not aware of anything. Just like your spirit was there before birth.......but im pretty sure you dont remember a damn thing from when you were with your lord back then

The Son is a part of the whole. God did not reproduce as a man reproduces. The Son became flesh to overcome temptation as a man and to remain perfect and to overcome sin and death.
God is righteous and all knowing he does not weigh sin as in some sin is okay he does not overlook sin and God is all knowing and did surely know man would sin.
God had a plan of salvation before he created man.

Edit you assume there will be sinners in heaven but this is not true no sinner will inherit the kingdom of Heaven, Those who accept the atonement are by faith made new and will be literally made new after when they are resurrected.
All men sin and all men die it is the reason that God does provide the atonement
God's plan is to bring his creation to his righteousness not to join man in man's sin.
There is only one way and Jesus told us he is the way and the truth and the life no one comes to the Father but through the Son.

Edit again

You are not grasping the trinity nor the fact that death is not eternal....Christ sacrificed his flesh for yours and was resurrected. God did not die ...Understnad if all we are is flesh then none of us will exist after our flesh dies...You do believe that your flesh will one day perish right? Does tis mean that you ahve ceased to exist? If you perish wiht your flesh then this argument means nothing because you simply cease to exist.
We are created in the image of God wiht an eternal spirit we are more than flesh and death is not etenral but we who accept the atonement of Christ like him have everlasting life.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 1 explains God said let US create man in OUR image.

Genesis 2 shows how man is created from the dust (flesh)
God breathed life into him (spirit)
and man became a living soul (soul)

God created man above the animals more than flesh which returns to dust but with an eternal spirit.

We are more than flesh and God is more than flesh.
Death is not eternal as Christ did rise from death the grave.
Hopefully you will one day realize you are more than flesh but also have an eternal spirit. This is the image of God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Does God overlook sin? Does God weigh sin as if some sin is okay? Is God not a righteous God?
God does not overlook sin or weigh sin all sin is sin and God does not agree with any sin. no sin will enter God's heaven.

The Father did not die he is not flesh he is one with his flesh as you are one with yours.. You are not only flesh but also spirit and the sprit might be seperate form the flesh but the spirit is not what dies, If you are merely flesh then yes you will perish and that will be the end of you what continues?

To believe that God is three becaue he is Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the same as saying you are three flesh, spirit and soul and these are three seperate beings...If you are only flesh then you would cease to exist for good when your flesh perishs.

Sorry my friend my spirit was created by God it did not pre-exist me or God but is creation the same as my flesh and was created after my flesh according to the word of God that came from Moses. First God made Adam from the dust (flesh) then he breathed into him life (spirit) and then he became a living soul (soul) This is the image of God that God said he created man in his image. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit and is ONE God.

Adam is a son of God.

Your question is not about being a son or daughter of God, it is questioning the divinity of Christ.

Answer: There are three possible answers: Jesus is only a man, Jesus was never a man but a God, or Jesus was both man and God. The last is the accepted Christian belief.

First of all dont believe everything you here in the new testament haha. A lot of it is not to be taken literally and i personally think is just wrong. Secondly, God needed a son to communicate with mankind using one of there own kind. God cannot because he is well God. Thirdly Jesus is considered God's son not because of biological reasons but because God was consantly guiding and teaching Jesus with all that he did. This is why god would not be mad about worshipping Jesus because everything Jesus did was because of God. Hope that helps

God was and is the only God. There cannot be another God.
God created a son to experience self. The Son became the first expression of self, Spirit. From that state, The father God and Son created, so God could experience more of self. Angels were then created and creation was delegated to them as well and to serve God!
God is Spirit. God is Pure Love. Creation is his expression of that Love and spirit. We are a fragment of his spirit. We are all sons and daughters of God. But there is only One God.
There is no other (god) except in his own expression of Love/Spirit in us.

God cannot exist where there is sin...His very presence would destroy all who had any sin within them....So He sent His Son and was in His Son..who had no sin....yet took on our sin and took it down with His perfection, a true and holy sacrifice, for us, that we may have life. Then He was raised from the dead to show us that....If we believe in Him we shall be saved.

because the 'god' they believe in is such a monster that he had his own son tortured and murdered to keep us from going to hell.
instead of just being cool with his own creations......

and the 'virgin birth' thing is just a refined version of zeus turning into a swan and getting some chick pregnant.

gosh it makes me dizzy just to think of the crazy logic that goes into all of this.

Why should God have a Son? Because He wanted a Son. And He had His Son do things for Him.

If you are not impressed that a virgin had God's Son, you aren't in the same world I am living in.
