While I am relatively new to this community, I have spent much of the last 10 years in various on-line forums. During that time it has become apparent that atheists tend to be greatly more foul-mouthed, rude, disrespectful and downright nasty than the religious people I have run into on-line. The more respectful athiests never tell the blockheads to shut up and act civil. Why is that?

People ask what would convince me that god truly exists. While I am not sure, I am certainly open to any tangible evidence. I do not know what evidence would convince me because I believe it is impossible to prove the existence of god. What evidence would convince you that god does not exist? See the conumdrum: it is difficult to answer their question! See falsifiability (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falsifiability ) and Rules of Evidence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rules_of_evidence ) for more information.

Do not quote bible passages as evidence of god's existence. This is my standard of proof, not yours. However, if proof were proffered that convinced me god exists, I would change absolutely nothing in my life or my behavior. The existence or not of god does not matter. Like many humans I live a purposeful life and god does not add more purpose.

How can I chose a right church? Why do people choose church by worship style/ people @ church and the leadership? I've been attending this church for a while. First it was okay. As more I attend there, I am realizing that church leaders are not very spiritual. They drink wine and uploaded on facebook. I've seen them cuss like once. The leader dont focus too much on the bible outside of worship service. They focus too much on fellowship, not on Mission, and Great Commission. As more I go there, it feels like leaders are not really having personal relationship with God, or not really fired up, but they are repeatedly doing it, leading worship just because it is Sunday. If I feel emotionally not healthy because I tend to judge the leaders, is it okay to move church? I know that I need to serve people, but it is hard to love the leaders at my church becuase they seemed hypocrites and I am not being fed. If you had to move church before, how did you choose?

It was something about asking for the strength to overcome evil men. To avoid being deceived or tricked....and led to evil. It specifically referred to "man". I can't remember where its at in the bible-and I really want to find it. Any suggestions?

But loves to talk about God all day and night long in Yahoo Answers? Go ahead and say you can talk about anything you want to but face it, there is something about God that gets your attention and you can't dismiss that. So praise God in Heaven and the son Jesus Christ

Many answerers on this site say that sexual orientation is a choice.

Do you remember when you decided to be a heterosexual?

And if you didn't choose to be a heterosexual, then what do you think caused it: did something happen to you to make you heterosexual, or do you think it's genetic?

and lets remember what Jesus has to say about the matter

Jesus says, “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace on earth! No, rather a sword lf you love your father, mother, sister, brother, more than me, you are not worthy of being mine." Matthew 10:34

Okay, so over hundreds of years, science has proved that we are not the center of the universe, or even our solar system. So, if God is real, and we are the only living beings on all the planets in the universe, then why aren't we the center?

I always dream about whirlwinds. But in the past dreams, these whirlwinds did not want to harm me.

Sometimes, they go around chasing those who have offended me, and I was always safe because I call on God to save me, and so i was always safe.

But the last time, the whirlwind appeared again. It appeared and I said to myself, it meant me no harm, and suddenly it cross my path, ready to swirl me up to heaven, and I pleaded "DON'T" was the only thing i said. SO then it moved at a safe distance away from me...and then suddenly a big EAR (right ear to be exact) flashed in placeof the whirlwind. And then I woke up.

I don't think God given me the gift to interpret a dream, as Joseph son of Jacob, can. I wish. Can you? Please.

Thanks

If we follow the pattern of the "True" religion being the last one reveled, then Baha'i should be the one True religion. But if The Divine is indeed omniscient and infinite, would It not have gotten it right the first time with Judaism? What are your thoughts?

For example if a man is cheating on his wife and during the sinful act he is lusting and kissing his mistress while driving and his car flips over and they both die. Do they both go straight to hell or will they be forgiven and judged and live in heaven eternally?

i saw last night a question asking "If Christian parents knew their child would be a Full-blown homosexual, would they choose abortion?"
and many answeres are people saying no because they choose to be gay
then in defence to that they say that homosexuality is not a gene...so that must also mean that my attraction to blond hair and blue eyes is in my genes?..

I just saw it on A&E, and even though I viewed it believing it was intended to be slanted against Christianity, I still found it to be disturbing, and as a Christian I am embarrassed by the way these people behave and by what they said. I am also wondering why a woman who has never married and never had children (as far as my own research has shown) is allowed to rape these children of their childhoods by yelling at them, calling them "phony hypocrites", and engaging them in extremely adults-only issues like abortion and war. My question is, what did you think of this?

Are Christians arrogant to believe they are the only ones to go to heaven?
A man came to my door today to talk me into going to his church. His pamphlet says "If you died today are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven?" I half listened to what he had to say but once he left I asked myself "Is HE 100% sure he is going to heaven?" Well, if he was 100% sure he was going to heaven that would make him very full of himself, wouldn't it? To assume that you are special enough to have no doubt in your mind that anything else could possibly happen. Not even the teeniest tiniest millionth of a chance you were wrong. Nothing is 100%. "Kills 99.9% of bacteria", "99.9% effective when used properly", "99.9% chance he IS the father!"
Also on the back it says "You need a good Bible preaching church to grow spiritually and learn more about your salvation." Says who? Are they saying then that they are the only church good enough to help you into heaven? Pompous Christians...
