Most of them aren't arrogant, but most of them haven't really thought through their belief system though.
The belief in God's blessings is extremely arrogant, although most haven't thought of it that way.
It is very arrogant to assume that God answers individual prayers about insignificant things because he loves us, but also doesn't answer the prayers of starving people over seas and lets them die tremendously vacuous and painful deaths.
'God loves me, and helped me find my lost car keys' meanwhile 11 year old Mabubu finally dies after 6 years of malnutrician and disease and ernest prayer for relief.

Are Christians arrogant? Don't put everyone in the same catagory. Some so-called christians may seem to be. But the true and honest ones, are concerned about those who don't know the Lord. I am reading from the Kings James Version. I am not arrogant, just concerned. If you are willing to take the time to look it up and read, you might come to a better conclusion about how you think and feel toward religion in general. 2 Timothy, chapter 4, verses 6-8. He was sure of his salvation. 2 Peter, chapter 1, verses 4-15; (notice vs.13-15). He knew that his time was at hand, He also was sure of his salvation. If you want to be sure, and know how to actually be saved without a shadow of a doubt, contact Acts238. If you don't than you won't. Have a wonderful day.

Hehe. Go to the Catholics, and they'll tell you they've got the Truth. Go to the Baptists and they'll tell you they've got the Truth, and the Catholics are all Lies. Go to the Protestants and they'll tell you the Baptists had gotten it right for the most part, but they, the Protestants, have got the Complete Untarnished Truth. The JWs would say that Catholics, Protestants and Baptists cannot go to heaven. Mormons say they are the True church. Born Again Christians would say JWs and Mormons are cultists. Protestants think Born Again Televangelists are all crap and are corrupting the Word of God. Republicans won't vote for a Mormon, not because he's not a good leader, but simply because he's a Mormon! Talk about arrogance, sister? They've got it. And we don't need to be on the outside to feel it.

Youve got it wrong though. We dont believe ourselves to be special enough or better than anyone else to get to Heaven. We have done absolutely nothing to earn our way there. We are exactly the same as you are, 100% Flesh and blood. The only thing different we have done is accepted the fact that Jesus died on that cross so that we may receive the Holy Spirit and have everlasting life. I understand that that most likely sounds like poppycock to you, however to us it is very real. I sit in no judgement of you, sister :-) I just feel so blessed that I made the decision I did, thats all. Gods peace to you and Happy New Year!

Yes, Christians know they are going to Heaven. And it's not a pompous or arrogant belief: it is, however, their belief.
And the church doesn't help a person go to Heaven. Only the individual can determine if they are going to heaven, with the salvation, compassion, and mercy of the Lord. He alone is our salvation; and the church is His House.
I will pray for you in hope that the Lord is making a difference in your life, and you come to know Him as well as most Christians do.

Let me try and explain how we can say that we are very sure that we are going to heaven, and not be arrogant about it. First of all I am not saying that some people may appear arrogant about going to heaven, but if they are they are wrong.
I can be very sure that I am going to heaven- however not because there is anything that I could ever do to earn a place there. Christ , who was sent to earth, took my place- and died on the cross so that my sins could be forgiven-if it was not for Christ, I would be in hell, so being a true Christian -there can be no arrogance about us going to heaven. Nothing I have done could gain me entrance- it is a free gift that cost Jesus His life. Tell me if I appear arrogant- I am nothing without Christ.

Door knockers are Mormons or Jehovah Witnesses. Most Christians don't recogize them as legitimate. I don't know who is going to Heaven. I am just following what the Bible says and it says that the only to the God the Father is through Jesus Christ. I didn't write the Bible.

I don't think that it matters if you are Christian or any other religion. And i don't think that knowing 100% that you are going to heaven is arrogant. What i do think is arrogant is the assumption that NO ONE ELSE is going to heaven. If God is infinite then heaven is also infinite, so there is lots of room for everyone.

Christians are 100% sure we are going to heaven, because you get to heaven, you ask Jesus to come into your heart, and trust that he is real and He died for your sins.
He is not at all "full of himself"

It's not just Christians... any religion that is a fundamentalist version of the tradition believes it is the only right way and everyone else is wrong. It ends in killing because if everyone else is wrong - you are better then them.

I don't see what difference it makes whether Christians are arrogant or not. The only question you ought to concern yourself with is whether Christianity is true or not. The arrogance of some Christians has no bearing whatsoever on whether Christianity is true.
