I do as a Christian,
We all have prejudices instilled in us' even Muslims have that trait, But you must admit' Muslims families are a closer nit
and show more respect to their old,
You don't see Islamic grand parents in out of the way
care homes abandoned, and there is more respect in the order of families, I do not say that all is well in their family communities all the time,
but observing there culture I discovered we have a lot to learn

I have really tried hard to be a good moral person, to help others , not to be selfish etc. I feel like I have been given a rough deal. will things ever get better or is it pie in the sky when you die.

Like if you're a good person then you can enter heaven

Or if you do good deeds or works then you can go to heaven

Also why do people say they're good when they know they're not?

i've heard a lot on here by christains thats atheists don't believe in god because the devil, and i have heard a lot atheists will go to hell and that we have free will, but if the devil can courpt our minds surly we don't have free will, and why would they be sent to hell if the devil is why they don't believe in god.
if that was the case then surly a devout christian could be be forced not to believe by the devil, but then he wouldn't go to heaven for not believing even though it's not his fault, but at the same time how can this be if god has given us free will?
can someone explain this?

Are like I was for many years, believing that I needed to put my trust in Jesus for salvation (forgiveness of sins & the gift of eternal life), but not wanting to turn from my sin and commit?

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.

I promise I WONT stalk you via e mail.

And please, no comments about how Christians ought to be committed (to an asylum, that is)... just thought I'd get that in first before someone else does!

Thanks in advance for all sincere, polite replies.

May God bless you. x

I've seen a lot of people wear necklaces with a t pendant. I know it is a Christian religious symbol, but I was wondering what the "t" stands for.

It actually seems a bit sadistic to me. If you KNOW someone desperately needs a job, wants their child to get better, wants a wife etc why do they have to beg and beg to God before he does it?

It is like walking around in a famine struck refugee camp with a burger and then saying, OH did you want it, I didnt know...

I do believe in God but some things just do not make sense to me. I would like sincere answers from believers please.

Ok - Matthew 2 starts out with - "magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem...." which would indicate that they traveled from the east of Jerusalem. Persia, India. etc....
Matthew 2:2 says - " For we (magi) saw His star in the east and we have come...."
So they were already East of Jerusalem and they say this star was to the East of them so the star was , like in China or something.
How did they go to Jerusalem which was WEST of them?

Gal 4: 9-10
"Now that you know God, why are you turning again to these feeble principles, to enlsave yourself to them once more?
You are keeping dedicated days months, seasons and years."

What is Paul saying here? What dedicated days is he referring to?

Gal 4:8 (the preceding verse)
"Previously, before you knew God, you were the slaves of those who are by nature not gods?"

Who are those by nature not gods?

Gal 4:8-10
"Previously, before you knew God, you were the slaves of those who are by nature not gods.
Now that you know God, why are you turning back to these feeble principles [the principles of those by nature not gods] to enslave yourself to them [those by nature not gods] once more.
You are keeping [the] dedicated days months seasons and years [of those by nature not gods]."

What exactly is Paul rebuking in this scripture?

Over 1500 in the last 10 years and it still continues with 2 or 3 every week.
(go to http://www.chnetwork.org/)

Pick an answer:

A- lack of doctrinal union among 33000 protestant denominations, meaning that they were not sure of whether they were preaching the whole truth

B- they read the writings of the first christians (Church Fathers, which are well respected by protestants) and found that what they believe today is not what the first Christians believed, but what the Catholic Church believes

C- They found that, per the Bible, the best form of worship (as practised by the first Christians) should not be a sermon for people but a true thanksgiving sacrifice to God called the breaking of the bread (eucharist in greek means thanksgiving)

D- They've found that Christ is really present in the Eucharist

E- They've found that they had been deceived about what the Catholic Church believes and teaches

F- All of the above

Pope John Paul 2 was an eminent scholar, theologian and philosopher. At a general audience on 21st July 1999 he clearly portrayed Heaven and Hell as states of mind rather than 'places'. What thoughts do you have on his teachings?
And please do not take this as an opportunity to vilify the office of Pope. But rather critique the man as a scholar and theologian.

Heaven "is neither an abstraction nor a physical place in the clouds, but a living, personal relationship with the Holy Trinity. It is our meeting with the Father which takes place in the risen Christ through the communion of the Holy Spirit"

Hell "is the ultimate consequence of sin itself... Rather than a place, hell indicates the state of those who freely and definitively separate themselves from God, the source of all life and joy".

I believe that Jesus Christ is God in the Flesh.
I believe that He died for my sins to save me from hell, and that He was resurrected the 3rd day from the dead.
I asked Him to pardon me of all my sins and come into my heart and save me.
I trust ONLY in Him for my salvation. (Not works, baptism, etc)

Am I saved, according to the Bible?

i've been single for a long time and i miss love and passion. when i don't think about finding love or why i don't have someone in my life it's all right. when i start thinking about it, it sometimes gets "painful". also, i don't believe the right person will definitely show up one day; not everyone is blessed like this. so how do i put these thoughts out of my system and don't think about missing someone special. thanx

First of all, it never went anywhere. You can pray in school all you want. Teachers can't lead prayer, schools can't lead prayer, students can do it all they want with each other. I still see kids around the flag pole in the mornings praying.
Second of all, why do you feel we need organized prayer in school?
"Kids are pregnant and shooting eachother. Where is God?" MY question is where are the PARENTS??
We are 21 out of 30 industrial countries in math and science. Why isn't anyone throwing a fit about keeping art and music in school, things that have been PROVEN to improve math and science scores? Why does it have to be all or nothing? Either there is public school led prayer or you just aren't happy? I just don't understand why we aren't nearly as concerned with our kids education as we are thier souls. Thier souls are taken care of at church, at home, and everyday in thier homes. Who is going to TEACH them though?

God was given different names just like you find different names for the same thing in different l;anguages. Try to be together as humans. Not as christians or muslims or hindus. Spirituality does not require a specific religion. Do anyone agree with me? Every religion preaches to love your fellow men. Not your same religious men.Am I wrong in saying this?

Any Christians out there who would care to give a brief account of how they came to receive God's free gift of forgiveness, reconciliation to Him & eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, crucified for our sins and risen from the dead?

For the glory of God!

Thanks in advance for all sincere, polite replies.

Jude 21 says,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

what does this mean? How can you "keep" yourself in Gods love if Romans 8:35 says that nothing can seperate us from Gods love? That dosen't make sense to me.
