Okay, first you are still the parent and you will always be responsible for your kids actions. If you are a christian, why are you associating with non-christians? I beleive that is a bible based commandment not a suggestion. I say that because of what you are thinking already.
If you are going to expose your child to alcholo, then let it be in a mature and respectable enviroment. It is to easy and too much temptation when she does go out on her own, to induldge and do someting foolish. I believe it is better to have a long talk with her on this subject. The last thing you want is your child raped, or caught later on in a DUI or vehicle crash because of a misuse of alcholo. Stick with what the bible says about drinking.

Its not a sin to have a drink, its a sin to get drunk. If she is with you and you are there watching her, I don't see that it will hurt. My mom use to give me sips of her mixed drinks as a young child and I think that when it came to drinking, I never seen the thrill in it as my other friends did. I never became big on drinking and will have a drink maybe thrree times in a year. Your daughter has probably already had a drink by this age without you knowing because of other teenagers and herself trying to fit in and you just don't know it.

What does the fact that she knows God have to do with anything? You telling me that people that drink doesn't believe? There is nothing wrong with drinking, only if you get violent, disrespectful etc. But if you can have a good time without harming anyone, including yourself, then there is nothing wrong with it. I'm a Christian and I enjoy a drink every now and again, mostly cause I'm a student, thats what we do =) But as I said, there is nothing wrong with it.

At her age, she'll be able to make that decision without your permission pretty soon, and it's a safe bet that she's going to at least TRY it sooner or later. It would be better that her first experience with alcohol happens in a safe environment under your watchful eye and with your helpful advice.

My opinion is that YOU should decide. Keep in mind there have been many Natalie Holloway-type cases throughout history.
If you trust her enough to make sound judgments, then perhaps indeed it's about time. You know who you'll blame if unforeseen consequences arise though...hard choice - good luck!

You have to allow her to taste alcohol, and with the family is a brilliant way...otherwise, when they eventually leave home, even for just a day, they go mad! You can't say "Don't" without allowing her to see what she's refusing...and that goes for most vices in life!

No you should not let her drink. I have seen to many people ruined because of alcohol and it all started by their parents allowing them to drink at a young age. But then again thats your decision
