If so, do you think that once this higher power gets bored with humans, it will kill us off and create more interesting beings than ourselves. Could we just be entertainment for a higher power?

If Jesus died and was buried before sunset, and he was in the grave 3 nights and 3 days, and you count...
3 nights and 3 days from almost sunset
Night 1 almost sunrise
Day 1 almost sunset
Night 2 almost sunrise
Day 2 almost sunset
Night 3 almost sunrise
Day 3 Resurrection

AND
The tomb was found empty on Sunday morning
When did Jesus rise?
Then the bonus question, (which you work out from the first question by counting backwards) when did Jesus die?

Even if you are not a Christian, you have enough information here to work it out.
Now lets see how many people can answer.

There's Heaven for people who lived a good life and Hell for people who lived a bad one. But is there anywhere else? Who goes to the other places, and what do they do when they get there?

Jesus was not born of sin, as the seed was the Holy spirit and not man

therefore how is sin transferred?

that's why Jesus was born free from sin,

compare this to the prophecy in Genesis 3: 15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Saying, the seed of the woman, not the seed of the man and the woman which is how babies are made, but the sed of the woman only, God prophecises here that A redeemer the Son of man is needed, and indeed will come into the world, by the seed of the woman only,

Anyone still think Genesis isn't factual now(sidenote)

Only Jesus was born free of an earthly father, therefore he is free from sin

Mary was born of an earthly father, like everyone else, therefore she is not free from sin

Further, Mary sacriced 2 turtle doves for her sins, before the birth of Jesus, no need to sacrifice anything if you are not a sinner

For statistical purposes, let's assume the atheist girl isn't going to give it up. Well, at least, not for awhile. LOL!

Deut. 18:20-22 says “But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoke it presumptuously: you shall not be afraid of him.

God says if you make a prophecy ad call yourself a prophet then it had better come true

So why are JW's still JW's after not just one, but numerous prophecies concernig the end of the age that have never come true?

Surely you only get one chance, letsw see what the
WTS has had to say:

1889 “.the 'battle of the great day of God Almighty' (Rev. 16:14), which will end in AD 1914 with the complete overthrow of the earth's present rulership, is already commenced.”
THE TIME IS AT HAND

a question requesting everyones personal opinion on an issue, some christians are most likely to answer not only for themselves but on behalf of all believers.?
does the implication of 'we' rather than 'i', indicitive of one of the reason why some people will cling to a religion, loneliness?
could it also be fear of the threat of someone taking it away, seeking emotional security in numbers?

This has to be one of the most destructive expressions I've ever heard.

What kind of lesson is it exactly?

don't try to be good or you could get in trouble?

It is often used to chastise a child for some careless act , not properly thought out.

But the repercussions later, tend to make people think twice about doing good deeds for fear of reprisal if they are not appreciated. Malpractise laws have made real doctors shy away from lifesaving efforts for this exact reason.

Yes, you should think things through if they will impact others. and yes some people ARE ungrateful....

it is always those people who will use that expression rather than try to appreciate the thought behind a genuinely good act, usually because it interferes with their own private (often sinister) interests.

lets stop saying it altogether

As somewhat of a nihilist (not "annihilist," but rather believing that there is no objective meaning, purpose, good, bad, right or wrong), sometimes I struggle to find the point in continuing to exist. I've tried the god thing (Christian Tormentist) and came to realize that it only bastardizes what meaning life DOES have (it was the darkest time in my life). Through it all, I've found many things to help me through the dark, bleak times, and I was wondering about my fellow atheists, nihilists, etc., (and what better time to ask than when most of the theists are away?).

So what gives your life meaning?

Besides faith in Jesus, if so why did Jesus say He was the only way into Heaven, only through Him. He also said that many will make the wrong choice, taking the wide road. His way is the narrow way. Jesus also said that that the world will hate Himand his followers.
