I wasn't brought up in a religious family, i never really saw anything that convinced me to believe in God.

This question and its variants have been asked and answered so many times and I don't have the energy to give you a straight answer. I read your avatar description and see that the life you live is geared towards attaining eternal life with your Abrahamic god and/or his god-son. Don't let me take away your delusions. Pick up a copy of "The God Delusion" by Dawkins and "God is Not Great - How Religion Poisons Everything" by Hitchens. Another good book that will really make you think about your delusional Christian beliefs is "Doubt: A History" by Hecht.

Everything that is in the mentioned books explains the reasons I don't believe in any gods. Read them - if you dare.

I am an agnostic. I do not see any evidence of a God, but I do see evidence that metaphysical rules apply to the Universe.

Believing in god and an afterlife is something that I would very much like to do, because like many of us we want to know there is something more than death, but I simply cannot because of evolution and all the scientific proof that is right in front of our eyes.

To turn down this proof, and only believe in your own faith is simply ridiculous.

Religious people need to open there eyes and stop being blinded by there bible when there is factual evidence right in front of them.

Well,I am a christian,I think that these people do not believe God just because they haven't experienced the love ,the peace ,and the joy from God.They said there was no evidence for it ,I think, they never believe God so they would not feel the evidence.People should have a faith to control their behaviors.

On occasions, thousand times I call but he never comes to help me................but if I drive to the library,I get help.
Yet He is not there is not so.He is there but as a concept of some people which psychologically help them.It is the necessity of life like kind words, solace, love, compassion etc.without which one can not live or survive.
I am atheist but who knows at some point of time,I may be compelled to be theist..........of course not to throw stones like huj yatries or to listen Morari Bapu.

Try using the 'search for questions' bar at the top there ;-)

Believe me, that is the most complete answer I can offer.

This question has been asked many times, and the answers are all there for you or anyone to peruse.

There's a link

(I used the singular 'atheist' in the search field as that is the usual Christian spelling, hence 4000+ results)

because there is no real evidence and i find a lot of Christians intolerant, insane, annoying, rude, bigoted, nasty, judgmental, hypocritical and pathetic.. and like i mentioned...completely insane.

if we could rid the world of the demented fundamentalists i would be more than happy to consider joining a religion because it seems to have some nice ideas, but the people who follow manipulate and abuse them into spreading hatred and intolerance. it's just stupid. i see very little love in this religion...as an agnostic i would rather focus on loving my family and friends, and other good people.
