First off... to all those who say unequivicably no because there's "no proof". where's the proof showing that there is nothing? so how can you give one answer based on a lack of evidence when your own answer has just as little, if not less evidence to support it? it's like people who claim there is no other inteligent life apart from on this planet because it cannot be proven. well how's this for proof? existence is infinite. no matter what you say, or how you look at it, this must be so, simply because whatever you clim to be finite, must by all reasoning have somethign beyond that
ad-infinitum. Based on this simple fact, it naturaly passes that all things that can exist, do exist at some point in space and time; simply because, if existence is infinite, then it must be impossible for anything to not exist.

anyways... back to the point at hand.

Although I won't put my hand up to "this happens" or "that happens", I do believe completely that death is certainly not the end of us. as is often said... dying is simply the end of one period and the start of another. I won't - as I said - presume what might be after this life. On that one, I will concur with those who play the "no evidence" card (by the way.. where's the "evidence" that something as unarguable as love exists? and let's not forget that science also proved that bees can't fly - care to state that love doesnt exist and argue the fact that bees do indeed fly?). But as said... there must be something.

As stated before.. there's too many cases of people seeing tunnels of light and what-not (though the tearing at the flesh thing's new to me. kinda makes you wanna be a nice person huh?) for it to be complete nonsense.

so in short... yes, i do believe in life after death... though I don't know you could call it life as such... but there's something.

I like the line In Men In Black (it's about aliens, but fits here too in a way). "five thousand years ago, we KNEW that the earth was the centre of the universe. five hundred years ago, we KNEW that the world was flat. just fifty years ago (probably longer now, but...), we KNEw that it was impossible for man to walk n the moon. just imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

Actually there is scientific proof that life exists after death.

All scientists seem to agree that energy cannot be destroyed - only change from one form into another.

All things existing are energy - even us (examine the atoms of our body and see the movement) (vibration). We just move into another form of energy - a spiritual form.

All energy is made of light (science can now trace all matter back to one photon of light). Matter is only light slowed down in vibration.

So in reality, there is no such thing as "death", only a change of energy form.

Not sure. I hopeI am pleasantly surprised.

However, whether life after death is real or not, I would not change how I believe or live.

And I wonder why it is so necessary for so many people to live a moral life ONLY because they fear hell.

I believe in the trancendence of love in our lives.

IF God is love then I believe in God.

Thereas_b said because the Lord said so. This begs the question. How does she know this? She actually can't. She can only BELIEVE that the authors of the Bible arecorrect.

I do not believe in it for the same reason as the first poster.
However, using the same logic, I cannot say I definitely disbelieve it, because I have no evidence that it cannot exist.
I admit my knowledge in such areas will have too stay empty and my opinions flexible. That is the nature of being agnostic. Acknowledging the limits to which the human mind is able to explore.

Well yah i do believe that there's life after death but after Judgment day, not as soon as we die, that day could be in millions of years, could be in less than that as well, so nobody knows when judgment day is ofcourse. And it will be the greatest life ever which is in heaven for those who were good and avoided sins in their present life, and in heaven you can have anything you have ever dreamed of, so basically God created our present life as a test for everyone to see who would obey him as who won't, and heaven is for the people who obeyed God.

Do I believe that I have a spirit that lives on after I die? Psalm 145:4 states, "His spirit(nephesh) goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish.
nepesh-"The noun refers to the essence of life, the
act of breathing, taking a breath." W.E. Vine
So the original Hebrew word used for "spirit" in Psalms
146 literally means "breath". Take away preconceived
doctrine and you will see what the scripture truly
means. The psalmist states that at death man stops
breathing (he dies), he "goes back to his ground; in
that day his thoughts do perish." (Psalm 146:4}
Although Hebrew nepesh has a wide range of usage, it
most frequently designates the life force of living
creatures. Thus, all the earth is full of "living
creatures" that have the "breath of life" (Gen.
1:20-21,24,30). When God created Adam, God breathed
the breath of life into Adam's nostrils, and Adam
becomes a "living being" (Gen. 2:7). Far from
referring simply to one aspect of a person, "soul"
refers to the whole person. Thus, a corpse is referred
to as a "dead soul," even though the word is usually
translated "dead body" (Lev. 21:11; Num. 6:6). Recall
too, that when Adam and Eve broke God's law, they were
told that they would "return to the ground, for out of
it they were taken." God emphasized to Adam: "For dust
you are and to dust you will return." (Genesis 3:19)
However, if we lost eternal life because of Adam, who
was once perfect and without sin, then it only follows
that it would take another Adam, another perfect man,
to get it back for us.
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God
and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a
corresponding ransom for all-[this is] what is to be
witnessed to at its own particular times."(1 Tim. 2:5, 6).
Because of Jesus' ransom sacrifice on our behalf, we
can all look forward to a wonderful future where all
mankind will be free from false teachings, and will no
longer have to fear even death itself. As the Apostle
John states at Revelation 21:3-4, "...Look! The tent
of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them,
and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be
with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their
eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning
nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
We all can look forward to that wonderful future?

No i dont, The five most intelligent humans in history (Hawkings, Einstein, Newton, Morley, and Gallalali) have all said it's not in any way possible, that combined with a little bit of common sence is good enough for me.

Yes. I think death is only the end of our body, but our souls go on to another life. That's my opion anyway.

Yes. I do believe.
The life after death is the most beautiful life for those who live in heaven. The age of everyone there would be 33 & the person will get whatever he/she wants there. For that, we need to be selfless & avoid sins in the present life.

Why would there be life after death. We are a collection of atoms and molecules in a certain configuration, when I die that configuration will be lost forever and I will be in the same place I was a million years ago i.e. nothingness.
