How did you get to know your boyfriend? Husband? Friends? By talking with them.
You must talk with Jesus Christ to get that relationship going. This will seems really weird at first and like all things new it will take some effort and some time.
It took me several years to come to a comfortable place in prayer with God, but now I can't do without it. I talk to God throughout the day and ask His intercession and friendship in everything I do.
Let me give you a clue on something - If you are married, ask Jesus Christ to join with you and your spouse when you are going to make love and you will see something that you have not seen before. I have shared this with many men (as they are the spiritual head of the wife) and they can attest to what I say.
Prayer works on many, many levels.

This is THE question of all questions.
I personally believe there is noting more important then our relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ.
Prayer is by far the beast way. Remember that when we pray we are speaking to God the father, through the Holy Spirit by the authority of Jesus finished work on the cross. In my life I have found that I can speak directly to the Holy Spirit and to Jesus. I also try to picture Jesus as he was when he was here on earth. I try to imagine walking with him and listening to him teach by the sea of Galilee. I also do something that many unbelievers make fun of. I actually picture him with me throughout the day and that helps me remember that "bidden or not bidden, GOD is present." The Bible comes in handy too. The more I read it, the more Scripture jumps out at me when I pray and in daily situations. Sometimes whole chapters come to mind and it transforms into a conversation with GOD. Then finally you will get to know Jesus best when you start to place others needs above your own. This is our Lord at his core. When we become a servant then we are starting to transform into his image.

Hope that helps.
May the Lord richly bless you and draw you near to him.

As a oractical matter, you can't. This Jewish stone mason is dead. Most of the stories about him are fabricated or distorted to accommodate the concepts of a religious group. The bible makes it clear that there is but one god and it is this god that you must worship. Not that any real god needs anyone to worship it. Even the late JC suggested that you should honor the law (As put forth in the old testament written by and for Jews). This JC worship and idolatry is recent. Not even the discipals suggested JC worship.

Read your Bible and pray and find a GOOD church, which preaches that the Bible is the inerrant, holy word of God, and teaches that the Holy Spirit is real and working on the earth today. Find another Christian who is a little older than you to help mentor and guide you in your Bible study and growth. Spend much time worshiping and praying. Here is a GREAT
website, with a longtime prophet/preacher and worship leader from South Africa, who now lives in America. Go to his site and listen to his sermons/prophecies: (on streaming video) kimclement.com Another good site for Christians is
god.tv.....has 24 hour streaming video of teaching, worship, etc.

Wonderful question !

That fact that you are seeking to know our One Sovereign Savior, Universe Creator, and Eternal Father-Friend Jesus Christ is proof that Jesus already indwells you as soul and in your mind in Spirit and in His Truth !

Apply yourself in all things to seeking and doing the spiritual values of love, mercy, service, truth, beauty and goodness; and you will know Jesus better in Spirit. In Truth, pray and worship God and Jesus and their one combined Spirit Presence upon you and all of us. Take time often to practice the sacred Presence of God !

Carefully read the Gospel of John, (by far the best) and use a colored highlighter pen to mark the most sublime, deep, eternal Truths. Here are some: John 1:1-18 3:16-17 12:31-32 16:7-16 and 17:especially the last 3-4 verses. The genius Blaise Pascal was carefully, in prayer and worship, reading John 17 and BELIEVING these Truths ! When he came to the last few verses, he was suddenly, in Spirit and in Spirit-Birth, given the Sacred Vision of God and Jesus as two Pure Divine Lights, coming down and touching ... then he and we are taken up into Him/Them ... Sacred Eternal Communion-Communication ... and our lives are forever secure in joy, peace and continual transformations into all Paradise perfection eventually. Blaise Pascal then had a new Vision-Goal-Drive to share God's and Jesus' INFINITE love to all. He wrote many deep books on Jesus and Christianity, "Pensees" is one of them. Christian seminary students still read that. I share the above as I have had/do have the same God-conscious Vision experience. Others have too. There are several "Life after Life" type recent books where more persons are sharing their Visions of God and Jesus as One HERE with us !!! NOW !!! ETERNALLY !!!

In the Bible, as Jesus was being brutally, ungodly tortured by having big spikes hammered into his hands and feet to a wooden cross, what did He say? Most humans would curse and spit at them. Jesus said (and still says for us)

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

This shows me another View of God's and Jesus' infinite love ! This helps us to dare, in Spirit power, to also go and love our enemies as we are directed today by our Master Jesus Christ.

Peace and progress,

I've begun worshipping the sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, a lovely day. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. And interestingly enough, I have found that the prayers I offer to the sun and the prayers I formerly offered to God are all answered at about the same 50-percent rate. Forgiveness, Christ mastered it! Yourself and others, don't forget one of the most difficult things to do is to forgive yourself. Allow people to earn your respect and possess a Christian love for all, even those who violate your values. Don't pass judgment on others, know God's working on all of us. Have a kind and discerning heart. Be at peace!
God Bless and Happy New Year!
