The answer to your question is not about what type of girl is better, but which is more compatible.
The truth for a long-lasting relationship is each person has to "believe" in the same thing and it should be one of the first topics of discussion on a first date.
I wouldn't care if the woman "believed" in anti-gravity, UFO's, ghosts and the "truth" of astrology, but I better believe the same thing or it will never work.
p.s. - it will not work anyway unless what you believe in is the truth and reality!

it depends.
If the atheist girl is an interesting character and it's good to be with her - then that's a good start.
If the christian continually waffles on about jesus ... no way ... but, if she keeps her beliefs to herself and lets me be my atheist self and keep that to myself, again it all hangs on character.
