There's Heaven for people who lived a good life and Hell for people who lived a bad one. But is there anywhere else? Who goes to the other places, and what do they do when they get there?

I really DO NOT NEED drivel from God-bothering loonies like Rich and Creation. Take your Watchtowers and stick them where the sun doesn't shine.

In case it isn't obvious, and it obviously isn't, I asked this question with humorous intent. No Loonies Allowed. Got that?

I think there must be, but none of us will ever know for sure until we get there.

Maybe there is only one Heaven and only one Hell, and getting to go to Heaven will be like passing an exam based on what we did with our lives on earth. Maybe there are lots of different heavens and different hells, with some kind of a grading system to select who goes where. For sure we won't know until it's too late to do anything about it. It's best to try and make the most of our lives on earth so that we are as prepared as possible for whatever we meet on the day we die.

If there is eternal life, it is a gift from Messiah. The only place you can spend an afterlife is on the earth made new (after 1000 yrs in heaven). If you don't receive eternal life from the Savior you will be destroyed in the purifying fires that burn up sin and sinners so Messiah can make all things new, including this world.

I have wondered the same thing, why is there just the 2 choices? What if someone just wants to die and let it be done, no having to be nice and perfect all the time, and no pain and torment either.
I think we should have the choice to be done with it, or come back here and do it all again, or go to another planet or dimension, or heaven or hell, whatever we choose (or is chosen for us).

Sura - 7 The Purgatory

[7:46] A barrier separates them, while the Purgatory is occupied by people who recognize each side by their looks. They will call the dwellers of Paradise: "Peace be upon you." They did not enter (Paradise) through wishful thinking.

[7:47] When they turn their eyes towards the dwellers of Hell, they will say, "Our Lord, do not put us with these wicked people."

[7:48] The dwellers of the Purgatory will call on people they recognize by their looks, saying, "Your great numbers did not avail you in any way, nor did your arrogance."

[7:49] "Are those the people you swore that GOD will never touch them with mercy?" (The people in the Purgatory will then be told,) "Enter Paradise; you have nothing to fear, nor will you grieve."

Sorry but no. Also, you do not understand how you get to heaven. You do not get there by living a "good life". That reward is for those who have a right relationship with GOD and that comes through accepting JESUS. Hell was created as a punishment for satan and the angels who rebelled with him. GOD does not want man to go there. For more info, check out the reset button at my source.

Catholics believe in purgatory.
Outer darkness, but I am not certain if that is Bible based.
