...are guilty of fornication? Fornication is the norm if we believe the statistics, yet lunatic groups like Westboro Baptist, Focus on the Family, etc., make absurd claims about how god has forsaken the US because we don't stone homosexuals to death as the Bile commands.

What's up with the gay obsession?

I've noticed (after only a couple weeks) that most questions here are not really questions but opportunities to rant or try to push a certain opinion.

I've decided to give up answering in this section altogether (and not just for that reason, but since there is always a better answer than mine anyway, I don't feel like I'm really contributing...so that leads to a second question: why do you (the ignorant who know you are ignorant) keep answering?).

Anyway, I really am curious why you Christians continue to answer (ie, this is not just trolling and/or trying to push my opinion).

If reincarnation was scientifically proven to be true, would this discovery change you in any way...if yes, how?

As a class "Christians" ignore the first 2/3 of Scripture, and Jews the last 1/3. I am told with considerable emphasis that "messianic Jew" is not inclusive, but an oxymoron. So what is the correct term for those trying to follow all of the "Word of YHVH"?

Why is that?
I've been browsing through questions and answers more, then actually asking or questioning and saw quite sad thing - people are quick to insult, joke about other's problems then actually try to help. I have posted few silly answers myself, just to see how people react (thumb up or down, or nothing). Guess what? the shallower my answer was - the more thumbs up I got. Of course, I want to thank people who gave serious answers to my questions, but they were not so many. When I posted a silly question only to test it, - I got so many more answers to that! - mostly silly answers of course (as silly as the question was). Yea, I know you get what you are asking for, but why so many people are ready just to get silly than serious? Did you see some of the profound long answers to your questions? These are the people who really take time and put their heart into wanting to help. Why don't we try to be more real people?

Do you think of God as male?

If yes...why would God have a sex? Because since several of the major religions are monotheistic 'He' would never have a partner to reproduce with. And if he is omnipotent he wouldn't need a parter anyway, since he could reproduce asexually. Perhaps we attribute maleness to 'Him' because Jesus is said to be borne of Mary and it typically takes a male and female to reproduce? (Incidentally if God is omnipotent, can he create other gods?)

If not... why do we refer to 'Him' as such? Is it just that many societies tend to be patriarchal and since God is an authority figure people simply injected masculinity into their impressions of Him? Is it a failure of our language that we have to refer to God in terms of male or female? (Do other languages use androgynous terms for God?)

These were just some thoughts that popped into my head this morning and I wondered what other people would thought.

Thanks
