Whats my excuse? I was kicked out!

I was going to a so called Messianic Synagogue
{Really a church} as I wanted to know more about my family's heritage as it was never passed on to me ,so I thought I was studying Judaism. How wrong I was.

So after I was there for a few years I started asking too many questions about real Judaism and the teachings of Messianic Christianity aka Messianic Judaism, as I had been studying within the Orthodox community. Well the fake Rabbi's wife didn't like that, so she told a bunch of lies to try and divide my sister whose family was also going to that church and myself. {Long story}

She got caught in her lie by my sis and I so they kicked me out and my sister left a week later. But I'm sure glad I was, as I can now see the cult for which it was and went on to study REAL Judaism and I am now going to a REAL synagogue with real Jews.

My life is wonderful now.

And WTG!! Rivka ;-)

1. Sripturally speaking teh church is Christ's; not mine currently.
2. Dividing Christianity in USA are 7 deviations from God's word presently. The 'congregation I grew upin had all 7. As a 'young person' I saw 'some' not all; but trusted 'older people' to know more than I did (at that time). Listening to people of other denominations, they were saying things that 'agreed' with what I heard from the pulpit. (It is also part of why I became a deacon there (see my profile)).
Since then, I have left that congreghation, and even (short time) went to others with fewer 'deviations; but left them also currently.

Church people act nice to you on Sunday morning, as long as you are putting money in the plate, as long as you are dressed right, as long as you tell them every single detail of your personal life, and as long as you pretend your life is great and you are completely happy, and any other day of the week they don't know you from Adam.

And by the way, there is a difference between an excuse and a reason.

I went to Protestant churches for most of my life. I could never find the truth of the Lord or His word , or His presence in those churches.All I ever found was what they thought the bible said and you never really heard the Word of God, just the words of a man who thought he was preaching the Word of God. Too much hypocrisy, to many liars and false teachings. I stopped going to Protestant churches many years ago and followed my own path for a few years and then while on my own path the Lord led me to His True Church. The Lord is very present in this church, they preach the truth of the Lord and His Word. Iam now a Catholic convert. And for the first time in my life Iam truly in the presence of Jesus Christ God Almighty, in His Church, the Holy Catholic Church

relocated after Katrina in 2005. I really miss my church, I grew up in that church. I miss my friends, neighbors, former classmates, and my family that went to church with me.

I have not been able to recreate that feeling where I am now, I have not found a new church. I hardly go now.

We don't go to church anymore because the last one we attended regularly for Sunday services, morning & evenings, Wednesday's for communion, Tuesdays's were for prayer group and Thursdays for Bible reading.....they became "do as I say not as I do". The vicar and his wife plus church wardens were taking money supposedly for the famine in Africa but were pocketing it, they were trying to split marriages, the vicar was having an affair with one of the church wardens wife and the vicar's wife was having an affair with that particular church warden!!! They were doing so-called spiritual interventions on people with mental health issues which in the case of one of our friends, tipped him right over the edge to where he tried to take his own life because they'd convinced him he had the Devil in him!! They were ok with having one family as parishioners including both parents and one of their sons but not their other son because he was gay! (we are all supposed to have been born in God's image). Since leaving we have not gone to another church and we never will. We do not have to go to church to be good Christians. It is not just for Sundays, it is a way of life. We regard our beliefs and faith as private between us, individually, and God. Don't need to go to Church for that.

Sadly, church in the US has become more of a social event than a worship service. Its a club to join so that you can get away with sin. Anything is okay as long as you go to church on Sunday morning and ask for forgiveness. Sin isn't sin as described in the Bible anymore because people don't want to hear about Hell and all that stuff. They want to hear about prosperity and everything is okay as long as I get mine, if you don't have anything then you must be a bad person cause God isn't blessing you. God and being a Christian is supposed to be about love and reconciliation. Putting God first and thinking about others as you do yourself. How many people that you know when donating give substandard quality things but buy top quality for themselves. If you're donating food the buy whatever it is, one for yourself and one to donate of the same thing. With clothes buy one for yourself and one to donate. If people started thinking this way instead of how they can get ahead of the next guy then we would squelch a bunch of our social woes. People generally kill other people out of frustration. They get to thinking, "I need what that other guy has", be it his spouse, money, posessions or whatever. We have become a society of "It's all about me and what I want". It will be this way until we get back to the basic Biblical principles of God first and us second. People are supposed to be drawn to God through love and compassion not the threat of Hell. We need to realize that sin is sin and we in and of ourselves can't do anything about that, only God and the acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins can we be whole and holy. Here's the part that people like to leave out and the reason we have such a high murder rate.......... We actually have to start living the way that Jesus taught us, consider others as we do ourselves. Reconcile our brothers and sisters who have fallen back to Him and stop leaving our wounded on the battlefield of life to die alone. We are supposed to be responsible for each other not coveting each others lifestyle.
I can't find a church that teaches sin, Hell and the consequenses of our actions or how we are supposed to love eachother, mostly they are consumed with getting their share and keeping it, making judgements on those that have not or have fallen and reconciliation is the other guys problem. Very sad state of affairs and very frustrating!

Well when I was about seven my Sunday school teacher drew an angel and a devil stick figure on the board and listed things you can do to got to heaven, and things you can do to go to hell. I got scared, never want back, and now I just hate religion all together. Funny thing is, that teacher was right, that is exactly how religious people think.
