My friend and I were talking about this; she said that she gets upset with a lot of pastors because they continuously talk about tithing and giving, and some people feel guilty/ashamed because they can't give or tithe an offering. I do tend to think that if it comes down to your electric bill or your tithe, wouldn't God want you to use wisdom and pay the electric bill and not sit there with your family in the dark, saying, "Well, we paid that tithe, so it's all good!" That doesn't make sense to me. Does your church place a high, high premium on giving? What do you think?

Please don't say it's a incorrect translation because if that is true then lots of other words and meaning must have been translated incorrectly as well.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)

Now what the heck does this mean!! I consider myself a very strong Christian who was deep love for my Lord and Saviour but I promise you I probably wont be drinking poison anytime soon nor picking up a poisonous snake!! Please only Christian related answers (just no Christian bashing). I received this scripture from another question I asked.. really mind boggled me. Thanks!!

Firstly, I am a Christian.
This has been bugging me for a while.
I can remember numerous times seeing fairies as a little girl.
Sometimes, I would wake up and see them at night. Sometimes I would see them in my garden!
But the thing is, it was so real. I was not dreaming.
I have heard of many other similar accounts of fairies, and to be honest, yes I do believe in them because of my experiences.
How do they fit in with God though? Are they a kind of angel or something? Serious answers please!

There was a news story the other night where a two year old child had fallen into the family pool on Christmas day and was miraculously revived by paramedics after being submerged for close to five minutes. The father in an interview stated "My son was only saved by the grace of god" (no mention or thanks to the paramedics).

What about the hundreds of kids who drown each year in family pools (daily occurrence in the Phoenix area). Are they not worthy of being saved by gods graces?

Christians- I know you hate questions like this but please try and answer using solid logic

Reviewing the history of the generations of GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE , it is noticeable that everytime a chosen generation of people's TURNS AWAY,FROM GOD by trangressing his will, HE chooses and sets apart a new group of people in place of the old. In my own understanding, since GOD standing policy of election mut continue then,
WHOM DID GOD ELECT AS HIS PEOPLE IN THE REMAINDER OF THE CHRISTIAN ERA IF YOUR ANSWER TO MY QUESTION IS "TRUE".

I understand that legalism is viewed harshly upon in the united states, but Jesus christ says in Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

many Protestants clain that one can be saved just by accepting Him once and go to church every now and them, but how can this be if Jesus says here that one must obey the laws. I know paul says salvation is not through human works, and our work cant ave us alone. Is there a balance between works and grace?

I assume it is primarily the abortion issue. On most other issues the dems are closer to Jesus' teachings. Feed the poor, clothe the naked, house the homeless, etc. I agree the idea of a "welfare nation" has problems, but in reading the bible, there are many instances of Jesus preaching sharing, and giving. I am aware of the "teach a man to fish" approach, but if you are honest with yourself, you would agree that Jesus had a attitude of sharing, as opposed to 'every man for himself'.Like many questions, this is hypothetical, I realize Jesus was not political, which is the common dodge to this question.

If you read the Bible as being literaly true and literaly the word of God, be careful not to blaspheme when you answer:

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up. Hosea 13:16

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and a-s-s.
1 Samuel 15:3

“0 daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.” Psalms 137:8-9

Have you seen someone's life transformed before your very eyes by the Power of God? Have you seen Demons flee? Have you seen people healed before your very eyes? Have you seen the transformation in a person's life after they receive Jesus as their saviour and the power of God just manifests in their life as they follow whole heartedly after him?
If your eyes have seen this do you testify? If not do you listen and keep seeking after the truth? Or have you just given up?
Is there an excuse for giving up? what is it?

Why Israel is not claiming back the stone tablets with the 10 commandments, fom Ethiopia?

According to the laws passed to mankind as recorded in the Bible, did Jesus ever break any of those laws? This refers to *all* laws passed by the god of the Old Testament, not just the well known "10 commandments".

Note that I am not asking if the Bible is true, only if the being recorded in the book as Jesus, broke any of the laws passed by the being known as Yahweh.

If your answer is yes, please provide Biblical references.

What happened?
Do you think perhaps you were talked into it and were never "born again?" Born again is when the heart is fertile and prepared to receive Christ and meets with the seed of God's word, producing a child of God (born again experience) that is so different from being talked into it intellectually. A heart crying out for a saviour that meets with the truth of Gods word produced a born again Christian. If you have not had this experience should you pray for that and not give up?
