There was a news story the other night where a two year old child had fallen into the family pool on Christmas day and was miraculously revived by paramedics after being submerged for close to five minutes. The father in an interview stated "My son was only saved by the grace of god" (no mention or thanks to the paramedics).

What about the hundreds of kids who drown each year in family pools (daily occurrence in the Phoenix area). Are they not worthy of being saved by gods graces?

Christians- I know you hate questions like this but please try and answer using solid logic

It is easier to give thanks to a Deity that someone believes in than to give it to the true heroes that we see every day doing jobs that make our lives easier. This "god bug" needs to be exterminated from our lives completely.

Logically, we don't know that the father didn't thank the paramedics. He certainly could have, profusely, long before the reporters showed up (and he probably did).

Logically, God's grace does not mean there will be no suffering on the earth. To the contrary, man's condition on earth will get worse as the end draws near. This is because of MAN'S disobedience. When God chooses to intervene and save a child, it is because of His grace. If He chooses to not intervene and the child dies, the child enters His kingdom, certainly a good thing. God then gives more grace to the parents left behind. The parents can accept God's grace, or rebel. All things work together for the glory of God. (note, this doesn't give much comfort the day or week after a child dies...unless the parents already knew this).

Logically, God's grace was worked through the paramedics. God provided the paramedics in His timing, and the child was saved.

Logically, applying Man's logical brain to God's wonderment is challenging at best. The Lord works in mysterious way, His wonders to perform. Obviously, the children that die as you mention, their time on earth was done, and they were brought home. The child you mention as being saved, God has future plans for him. It's a wonder indeed.

p.s. I didn't hate your question. It is a great question. Glad you asked. I hope this helps a little.

Solid Logic!

Can you tell.. Us CHRISTIANS...... what solid Logic.... IS..."

PERHAPS..... YOU ... Purposely.... MISSED..... This....!

(Hebrews 9:27) And as = = it is appointed == to men = = once to die, = = but after this the judgment,

AND.....

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-2) To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens:

(Ecc 3:2) a time to be born, = = and a time to die; = = a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted;

HAVE YOU HAD..... " A Come to JESUS... MEETING WITH ... HIM ? "

(2Co 6:1) But working together, we also call on you = not to receive the grace of God in vain.

(2Co 6:2) (For He says, "In an acceptable time I heard you, and in a day of salvation, = I helped you;" = Behold, now is the accepted time. = = Behold, now = = is the day of salvation.)

AND....

(Acts 17:30-31) Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, = now He strictly commands = all men everywhere = = to repent,

(Acts 17:31) because He has appointed a day in which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He appointed, having given proof to all by raising Him [JESUS] from the dead.

Thanks for Asking ! RR

Grace is something that each person looks at differently but in the end he was thanking God that God allowed this his child to be saved from death and did it the best way he knew how now he was not trying to say that them men did not have anything to do with it but to him like all Christians which i am one we Give all the glory to God for all things Good in life even if we do something we did not do it but by Gods love for Making us and allowing us to understand all that we know is by the grace of God for he gave us the understanding of how to save the child so in the end all things Good is from God even if our child is saved by another person it is only by the grace of God that they where there and able to revive this child after he was dead for about 5 min. there is more to it than that but i don't know how to put it in to words easily as you can see i am not good at writing but i try

Well, I think the paramedics should get more credit than God on this one. God doesn't have much of an influence on our lives as many would like to believe. Sometimes, it's pure luck, other times, it's the people whose jobs it is to save people who deserve credit. That mans son was saved by the paramedics -- you can't deny that.

Part of the Grace of YHVH might have been that the paramedics got there so soon, and applied exactly the right procedures. (It would have been nice for the father to have mentioned them). He does intervene. Why not more often? I don't know,( but if He did it real often I understand that Satan would complain that He isn't being fair.) Why does He do it when He does? again, I don't know.

Why would God think that keeping a child alive was a good thing?

Do you suppose God thinks that a child who gets to return to God in heaven is having bad luck?

What a stupid idea.

Love and blessings Don

It's not that some kids who drown are not worthy of being saved by God's grace, it's their time to go.
I'm not trying to force my beliefs on anybody here and I don't care how many athiests give me thumbs down, but I believe when your time on earth is up God will find you, whether you drown, have a heart attack, die peacefully in your sleep. If it's your time to go, it's your time to go.
Obviously, it was not this child's time to go so he was saved.
