Seems as though you have been lied to. Either way, this is a nice question to ask on Yahoo! Answers, but I think you should expand your education on religion, and google some stuff up, read some books. Most importantly, decided for yourself what you do and do not believe in, and once you figure that out, I think it'll be a lot easier deciding what religious route you want to go down.

Good luck, and God bless.

I'm not a Mormon, and I know very little about what they believe. But I would think that, since you were baptized Mormon, it would make sense for you to start there. Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised, or maybe you will ultimately choose a different path. Either way, you should make a choice based on your own experience, rather than just the opinions of your friends.

I have accepted Jesus Christ into my life. This does not make me a cult member. This is coming from critics that don't understand. Plus, certain organized churches make it seem this way as well.

I would suggest asking Christ into your heart and being really serious about it. It works for a huge amount of people including me. Things that have been experienced by Christians are quite amazing and wondorous. I myself have asked for guidance and heard church sermons about what I had asked the very next day.

Christianity is the way to go bro, I wouldn't steer you wrong. Christianity holds great reward, just beleive.

Feel free, if you'd like, to contact me. My email is Ozzman29@gmail.com. Good luck and God Bless.

You should look into it yourself rather than taking other people's word for it. I am mormon, and mormons do not believe that Jesus is an alien. If you want to learn more about the mormon church you can contact them and have the missionaries come and teach you about what they believe.

Religion is a personal decision, you should choose based on how you feel, not what other people think.

I used to be a christian and to be honest it never gave me anything in life, there were more questions than answers. Just recently however I discovered Buddhism, which I have really found to love. There is no God to worship or anything like that (that parts up to you!) but rather a moral guideline to how you should live life. The buddhist's quest is to become enlightened and see the world for what it really is with an unbiased mindset. This is obtained through meditation and simply living with a buddhist mindset. I hope you look into buddhism and discover the benifits of it. And just another thing about buddhism; if you want to be a christian, muslim, etc. you can be one in buddhism!

Is there some purpose behind your search or are you looking to join a religion because that's what you're supposed to do?

If I were you I'd put all that effort and nervous energy to use doing something useful. Take college courses. Start a business. Ride a bike.

Spirituality isn't like groceries. You don't go shopping around, you go with what your gut says.

Or you can get hung up on the names of these religions and debate the pros and cons of each with your friends. Not sure where that'll get you cause everyone has an opinion.

well you should read up on religions yourself, If you know God is real talk to Him, tell Him what's happening in your life. Dont let anybody decide for you you decide for yourself, they can always influence you, and tell you what they think, but read for you self, and ask God to show you, ok? and christians are not a cult, (why must people say such hateful things). I belong to the Seventh Day Adventist, Christian denomination. if you want to learn more on what I believe you can always vist 3abn.org and look around

This person is stupid. I recomend a respectable comparative religions direction. From a Biblical attitude, seem at it this sort -- God created the seventy international locations of the worldwide with their very own languages and cultures and assorted techniques of being. In paralel, each lifestyle has/could have a various faith -- a various culturaly apropriate information of and dating with God. whilst he brings all the cultures at the same time interior the circumstances to return, then the religions could additionally merge at the same time -- yet for now, the variations between human beings necessitate differences in aproach to God.

I was brought up a catholic but since i got older ive found that i dont want to follow a religion as there's too many loose ends and rules that i dont agree with, i believe in God, one of my own understanding. Dont feel as if you have to choose a religion and do everything they tell you to do. If your honest and a good person then your living a good life anyway. God loves you anyway, no boundaries or limits to it, just be the best person you can be and you' be fine.

They don't think that Jesus is an alien. Try going to speak with pastors of different churches. They can tell you the basics of their beliefs or take a college class that teaches you the basics of different religions. I personally am Catholic, though I don't agree with all their beliefs, I respect their traditions and the fact they don't change it every few years.
