Isn't responding to my intense love for Him? I feel that He has abandoned me. I can't even enjoy my favorite activities, the time I spend with family and friends, and my breakfast, lunch, and dinner, without thinking about Him. My love for God is consuming me. I think about Him 24/7. I want to have an intimate relationship with Him like Jesus did. I want to live life in the spirit like Jesus did. But with all of this false teaching and the focus on wealth doctrine, I can't seem to get answers from the church. Instead this "prosperity doctrine" seems to be creating a system in the church that is similar to the system of the world..and that is the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. I want the basics of how to be like Jesus. I don't care about money or wealth. To me a life without a deep relationship with God like Jesus had, makes life useless. Is there anyone out there that can help me get to the same place spirituality where Jesus, Smith Wigglesworth were?

I've know God for a while and I know He is real, or else I would not be searching Him with all of my soul, heart, mind and strength. I guess I am going through a fry moment but still I need encouragement. It's easy for people to write "He is there" pray, read, go to church." But when they end up in the same predicament as me their whole reasoning changes. I need a word from God, I need to hear God's voice. Not redundant thing like go to church read, and pray. I do those things, I want a deeper experience with God. I'm not satisfied with the way things are in the Church. How many ministries are changing the world today like Jesus, Paul, Smith Wigglesworth? Interesting thing though is that all of these men said the same thing. Keep the commandment of Love and you will be able to do these things too. But how many ministries actually get to this point?

Just because a person goes through despair does not mean they are not praying, reading the word, and worshiping God enough. Does the life of David, sound familiar

You are not alone in this ...

I believe that what you need is to find out what God has called YOU to do - and go out and do it. Dig into the Bible for yourself and ask lots and lots of questions - because that way you will find nuggets of truth that you could never have found any other way ...

Maybe you should consider going to Bible college?

I am not saying that you are doing nothing for the Lord, what I am saying is that it is YOUR hands that God will use and it is YOUR feet ... and YOUR mouth ... and I believe that God will use you in ways that you could only dream about.

Also, visit other countries. Go to Africa, meet people from other cultures. Do the work of the ministry.

God bless you

My friend, it sounds like you're in a dry spell. I've been there myself and it's murder. I know this sounds like a rehash----but---prayer is the only way out. Maybe your prayers aren't spoken right. Tell God just what you wrote here. Some people think you have to say a rehearsed prayer but you don't. Just open your mouth and talk to Him. You hear from God thru the word and from others. If two people tell you something, and they don't even know each other, then take that as comfimation it's from God.I don't know what church you go to but the pastor should have some insight to the problem. Also, tell satan to get the heck out of your life. He could be causing you the problem because he wants you back. Always pray IN THE NAME OF JESUS.No matter what the prayer, it has to be in Jesus name. Always. I will pray for you and the situation. I pray peace for you and understanding for this. May God have mercy and show you the problem.s situation. Maybe He's calling you into the ministry. Pray and don't stop and ask if He wants you somewhere else. Do you tithe 10% of your income? This is very important ? Check your life and make sure you don't have some unconfessed sin ,or holding a grudge against someone,or owe an apology, or anything that could be holding you back on answers. , Search and ask God to show you. He will if there is some sin you aren't aware of.

It is indeed easy to say "Go to church, pray, and read," but for some people it isn't that easy. A lot of people struggle with this from day to day. Some people don't even know how to pray, they just don't! The easiest thing to do is just to talk to him like you are having a conversation. The easiest way to learn about him is to read the bible, i know that is hard, but its true. I think that maybe you are looking for answers in the wrong places. Maybe you should read some books on it...I don't think that we are ever going to be exactly like Jesus, but the passion that you have now is good. You just need to put it toward better ways to search. The only real place to get that spirituality is through God, and Jesus. Read on how Jesus acted in the bible, and study it. If you don't like the church's teachings, don't follow them, just go with your own thinking. That is the best I can do

We who seekers of truth and of G-d want something real very tangible. But the truth is that kind of relationship with G-d is truly rare. I have had very few moments like that. I want you to understand that you may need to focus on something that is more important the great commission that all Christian are called to do. Don't worry about the church systems that being created. Even back in the day when Paul was being G-d's called, he run into prosperity doctine back then too. That being going around for centuries. Paul use it for good as long the message of Jesus was being preached. You need to focus only the good that can come out of every situation not judge. Go forward do something for G-d instead Feed the hungry Clothe the naked, visit the prisons. In this you are always pleasing G-d and that tangible experience G-d will come to you when He knows you are ready to handle it. I only had a few fleeting secounds of His presence believe me, Its hard to handle when your heart is not completely in the right place. Judging, frustrations, criticizing your fellow brother or sister in Christ are all coming from your ego that you are better than them. We must remember that we are all nothing comparing ourselfs to each other. Humility is hard to incorporate into the soul. Focus on yourself on your heart and let the Holy Spirit work on the corrupt ones. One day when you least expect it the Holy Spirit will give you the power to expell out unclean spirits by your mere walking into a room. Right get aligned with Holy Spirit and work on your heart being the right place with G-d is more than love alone is obedience to Holy Spirit. We all have love but not all have obedience.

I will try to be as gentle as I can, brother in the Lord.

The love that you feel comes from God. The desire comes from Him, otherwise you wouldn't feel ANYTHING!

After reading what you wrote I have gotten so frustrated with you! Wake UP!

Right now I am picturing the Shepherd HIMSELF, standing right next to his single and wandering sheep. He fought off the serpents and scorpions for you to have safety with Him. Yet you are not looking at Him. Even though He stands right next to you. You are too bothered by the wolves that are around you. Wake UP! The shepherd is next to you. He is giving you safe passage from the wolves.

What does He have to do?! Lead you around with the hook of His staff around your neck?

WAKE UP!!!!

He showed you the error of the church you are asking, WHY ARE YOU STILL ASKING? WHY ARE YOU STILL THERE?

The Shepherd will lead you, you just have to get moving. The love you feel comes from the Counselor. He's a COUNSELOR! Let HIM Counsel you.

Now I will go back and finish reading what you wrote . . . but MAN, what will it take for you to wake up?!

EDIT:
We ALL want to hear God's voice. I hear it. I fasted though, and got myself alone for about a week. I turned the radio, the music, and the TV off. I did all the things including getting into the word. God did not disappoint me.

And the love that you say you feel, if that's from God, then be content. You WILL hear His voice, but will you like what He says? Are you preaching the Gospel? Or is the extent of your spirituality the disappointment of not having all things your way?

You are at a point of reckoning. You had better wake up. You have something that not all Christians bear. You have the 24/7 love of God with you. Be content, and do what He tells you. Don't call it praying if it helps, if you are that close to God just start talking. He is that still small voice telling you that the church you are at is wrong. He already is telling you things, you just need to focus on Him, shut up and listen.

You sound almost despondent. God does not abandon us we abandon him. Thinking about God should make family activities more enjoyable not less. God will give you what you are seeking if you are seeking it with a pure heart.

Jesus is God, you cannot get to the same place Jesus is spiritually, he is our God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

Pray for faith, and quit doubting him. Let God be God.

Now get on your knees and pray the sinners prayer, then get up and go tell someone that you have rededicated your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

hm well good for you for desiring a closer walk with the Lord!!!

I'd start by reading the Gospels as that gives the life of Jesus. However, you don't need to take living ur life like Him literally. As in, wandering around with 12 disciples and all that. But Jesus loved. He loved everyone, even the unlovable. Start with that and reading God's Word (as that is how He is able to speak to you) and you will soon have that deep relationship with Him you desire. GOD BLESS!

Keep drawing close to Him. He says if you will draw close to Him He will draw near to you. He said it so believe it. That is the main thing He wants is for us to have a desire to know Him and to search for His will for our lives. It is great that you are thirsty for Him. Don't stop enjoying your family and such though, that's not His will. Give Him thanks for your family and appreciate the time he has given you with them. I recommend the book Led By The Carpenter by D. James Kennedy.Your thirst and hunger for God will lead you to Him.It is the drawing of the Holy Spirit. God bless you!!

I'm not sure what your point is. It sounds like you're being confused by ministries that are not adhering to biblical doctrine. Please find a good bible teaching church that sticks to His word. Nondenominational churches are a good place to start.

The prosperity doctrine you speak of is not biblical; don't worry about it, just steer clear of those who teach it.
