Bible reading and prayer should be a regular daily part of your life. Prayer when getting up in the morning to start your day, a quiet time for prayer some time (regularly) during the day, and prayer at night before retiring. You also need two types of daily Bible reading. (1) you should have a regular established schedule to allow you to read the bible thru in a year. (2) You should have 20-30 minutes a day set aside to read and study areas of personal interest to you to further your own knowledge of the Word.Combine these two traits of prayer and Bible reading, along with active attendance and participation in a church of your choice should be very helpful.
Most importantly, any prayer and reading and church attendance is just useless window dressing if you don't have a personal commitment to God. Do you? Are you saved? Are you a Christian? That's the first thing you need to be sure of, then You'll be less concerned about how often to pray and how much to read. Best wishes to you

I pray at least once a day at night before I sleep. I admit, I sometimes fall asleep without praying or reading the Bible. I read the Bible every night.
Remember this, my friend, it's good that you pray and read the Word of God, but you must also mean them. You don't pray for the sake of praying or read for the sake of reading.
You have to devote this time to the Lord and let the Lord fill your heart with his love and compassion.
And then, you will find that your relationship with God gets stronger.

I read from the bible all the time as a child/ teenager because my parents/ church/ society dictated it. I rarely ever prayed because I didn't truly believe any of it.
Today, as an adult, I neither read the bible nor pray. I'm old enough now to say no to outside influences, so I have chosen to have religion play almost no roll in my life. I never believed any of it in my heart anyway, so praying and reading from the bible is a waste of time for me. I'd rather donate blood or volunteer than sit in a room reading a book.

Nowhere near as much as I should. I have been slacking over Christmas, not reading or praying as much as I should. My bible study starts up January 10...I need to get back into my discipline, I feel spiritually lazy.

I pray about twice a day, and usually read the bible from excerpts at church every sunday. Sometimes when we gather for the rosary, our family also reads from the bible.

"Faith comes by hearing
and hearing by the WORD of GOD."
I have been taking this verse literally lately,
by listening to Chuck Smith, Brian Brodersen,
and Chuck Missler on iTunes Podcasts everyday.
I also watch Chuck Smith & Brian Brodersen via live
broadcast over the internet and also kwve live via iTunes. It's awesome! I have the bible program called MacSword on my macBookPro
so I can follow-along in the scripture as I listen to the bible Studies and it's all free!
If anyone wants links etc. let me know.
I don't work for any of these organizations.
I'm just a blessed Christian who loves growing in the LORD!
