is it because they can not make it into heaven with out it. So they look to there friend to die for them, saying he will rise in 3 days anyway. You praise his name aragontly. Acts 17:23. You sing thank you jesus for the cross, pick your song book and do not change. He died so I can keep sinning you say and live with his grace. The cross was not needed to get into heaven, you just had to be as perfect as Jesus. But you all die in sin. You can "become" perfect and die in righteousness.

You sing and praide the blood around you, he live's,he live's. Not knowing that he had to die to do this stupid miracle. You sing joyfully as he suffers for you. Hurray he lets me sin, yippy, dancing around singing hallalua for the cross. I get to go to heaven. If you really cared for heaven you would have become perfect like him in his righteousness and die or be taken as a righteous person. Not as a sinner with sin not defeated in your life.

Whatever religion you may adhere to, or not adhere to... Has anyone ever tried to convert you?

I have a good friend who has just turned 'born again', she is basically stopped using her brain and logic. Its sad to see her full of guilt, regretting all the little 'sin' she has done in the past e.g. go to the bar, flirt with guys... she also makes me feel i am 'bad' and 'sinner'.. I can't be with people of this mentality, living based on fear - the lowest frequency of emotion. Should i just cut her off because i don't want to be friend with a brain dead? (she is no longer the former person anymore, she talks to God while washing dishes)..

Well, I was going to sell my soul on ebay, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. So, is there anyone that would like to buy it? I'm willing to pay for the shipping and handling. If you do decide to buy my soul, here's what you'll get:

(1) A mason jar in which I plan to bottle my soul into.
(2) A document of authenticity for my soul.
(3) If you want, you we can make a contract after you decide you want to buy, (but before you pay) so you can have it in writing that my soul has been entitled to you for time and all eternity, for you to do whatever you want with it.

Well, that's the package. Start bidding people!!!

the seers "who's powers come from evil sources." i have heard so many christians say that psychics powers come from the devil and yet those christians who claim to be prophets and receive revelations from God dont give people godly revelation to replace the guidnce that they are getting from psychics. why dont they provide an alternative instead of just condeming psychic practices? How many christians have you heard of setting up a stand or starting a website for giving supernatural guidance to individuals?

I am alcoholic. trying to maintain sobriety. couple slips but getting better. I want to give my wife the security and support that a husband should. She divorced me last year because I didnt meet her emotional needs. she wasnt looking but someone came into her life and and met her needs. a reward from God she thought. I told her it was a test. She said she failed then. I moved on missing her terribly. 4mo later she told me of her mistake. promissed all and would never quit again. 4 mo and filed again. My love and respect for her has grown with every problem we have overcome. I love her unconditionaly. She says she loves me truly but cant risk my possible relapse and her security. Is divorce the only option for her or is it an excuse to leave because her feelings of love for me have changed?

In My live by Bill Clinton he said that people always ask him why he isn't a catholic, and they say he acts like one. What are the core political and social beliefs of catholics. Also what are some generalizations you can make about them? ONLY good things, not bad.

Are there any scriptural or Bible references that brings up this aspect of limitedness of Jesus Christ, perhaps like the meaning of Vigraha or Idol representing the Unlimited in a limited way.. with a theme Is and Beyond..

Or is it, the limitedness of Jesus with particular body and its shape is entirely different from an Unlimited Father / God ie unfathomable ..

What are your thoughts in this regard ?

...find that strange? It seems like those that really believe in a path to Heaven and not Hell shouldn't be okay with their loved ones not being on that path.

Sure, some don't REALLY believe in Heaven and Hell, but it seems many do, and yet many of THEM are live-and-let-live types (the coolest among them IMO).

But it's crazy to me that they are just fine with the idea (in their minds) that their nonbelieving friends will burn in hellfire literally forever, while they envision themselves living in perfect bliss.

FYI: This does NOT mean you should start proselytizing - that is definitely much more annoying, (but at least it shows some empathy, however patronizing...)

I borrowed a book from my friend, all about every single different religion. I read through them all, because I've never gone to church, never had a religion, and I wanted to know where I fell into place. I found that I'm agnostic. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, basically I think we don't know anything about god and never will, so I'm just assuming he exists. I don't believe in the bible.

I just wanted to know where other people stand on this.

Do you believe in god? Why or why not? What is your religion? Do you believe the bible? Go to church? Believe in Hell? Heaven?

I'm curious.

1. God is perfectly loving.
2. God is all-knowing and all powerful.
3. There is terrible and unnecessary evil in this world.

Only 2 of the above conditions can be true. Therefore, there are 2 possible conclusions:
1. God is not perfectly good/loving.
2. God does not exist.

P.S. When I talk about evil I'm not talking about having to work hard in order to pay the bills. Problems like that could help to "develop the soul". I'm talking about something like the violent slaughter of 800,000 people in 100 days in Rwanda or a Tsunami slaughtering countless thousands of poor villagers. What purpose does that have in God's plan? And for those who insist that free will is God's excuse, then why did God create us with such hatred, such Xenophobia, that we are capable of these unthinkable atrocities?

So that is a quick proof I threw together (not all my ideas) and I am very curious as to what you think of it.

I want to see all entries of Satan himself speaking. As well as any conversations he had with anyone else, including God.

No particular reason, just a bored whim. Wonder what the antagonist had to say.

Biblical scholars, go for it!

I work at a hospital as a porter (someone who collects trays and works in the dishroom) and tonight I had to collect from rooms in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and CCU (Central Care Unit).

I saw so many people so ill and hooked up to machines and I felt like I wanted to cry. It's so depressing and to see families in such pain and sadness.

So regardless of your faith or spiritual sense, please join me and pray for all those who are suffering in the hospital, in hospice, the families and friends of these patients, and blessings to all the hard working hospital staff (esp doctors and nurses) who work to keep these people better so they can live another day!

And for those dying tonight, let's pray them a safe passage to The Other Side/Heaven/Afterlife....
