People quoting the bible!!!!! Have they really understood it? When Jesus appeared to the apostles what was he? a spirit which is a GHOST!There are numerous stories in it about spirits and people talking to them. The one with the burning bush, Do they really think the bush was talking to the person or was it a SPIRIT? Guess what, all the apostles were mediums and psychics! When your making the sign of the cross the father, a son, and Holy GHOST!!!!! The bible is a story book made up at different times, by different people. Take a good look at the bible and the catholic church ( with and open mind) you'll find out alot.. If your going to quote the old testment ,quote it in the places that talk about having mediums helping the priests, and having women priests in the church! ( a former roman cathoilc)

Not really for clarity and guidance, but more out of curiosity. These things are ancient practices (astrology, psychics, etc.) and they've been developing for many, many years. They are surprisingly accurate at times (not due to divinity, per say, just due to thousands of years of practice) and it can blow your mind how knowledgeable about the stars and constellations and Tarot cards, etc that you have to be to do that stuff. People who are into that can be very intriguing and intelligent people, and I'd go to hear what they say just to get a different view on things.

Edit: Hey fake Nietzsche, maybe you should get a mental illness and then open your mouth about 'dealing' with it.

No. There is no evidence that "psychics" have any ability. All have failed under controlled conditions to reveal anything. Some are known to be harmful.

Most practice something called cold reading, which can be learned. Either deliberately or subconsciously they read the expressions and responses to their statements, back-pedalling, clarifying an going for more detail as required.

Notice how their first statements are the most generalised, and they close in on their answers. Unless you have spoken to them earlier or supplied information to the one behind the event's arrangement/management.

If you ever decide to go to one, practice your poker face and have fun.

King Saul did in the later part of 1 Samuel. We should never let ourselves fall that far to result to a psychic.

Yes, I have. I grew up in a very bitter home life. I thought I was totally worthless. I did not know the meaning of love and I was married following in the footsteps of my parents. I knew I loved my husband and I was desperate. With the help of a Christian councilor, I was able to get on track and learned the love of the most wonderful man alive that had endured me for years by now. He became my life and we loved being with Christian friends. We became a family after our children were gone, to my sorrow.

If you need help, talk with a Christian. A psychic will not give you advice to truly make you happy nor to find yourself. Talk to someone that will help you be a good person and not one that tells you to get out and do what feels good regardless of the cost to you.

EDIT SUGGESTION:
Sit down and doodle in your spare time. Look at what you are doing and what you are thinking. You can get a lot of information about what is wrong by looking at your seemingly senseless doodling. It really is therapy, if you will look for answers in what you have done on paper. Then sit down and write yourself letters. Put them to one side and read them a few days later. Don't just read, but study them to see what needs to be changed.

AND I forgot the mirror. When you are alone, look at yourself in the mirror eye to eye and talk to yourself like you would to someone in the shape you have gotten into at this time. What would you suggest to your best friend? Do it!!!

Psychics are not of God. It's a passageway for Satan to get to you. It's tempting to want to get fast answers (whether correct or incorrect), but FAITH in God is what you need. He takes care of all your needs and pains just for the asking. You may not see or feel it at the time, but He provides. Stay away from psychics, Ouija boards and things of that nature. All psychics do is take your money and deal with Satan.

No, I think a person should suffer a little. I believe many people are capable of sorting out their own problems without the help of a shrink or drugs.
