The most important thing. The Bible says:

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
(Hebrews 9:22)

it's very important. it's central to atonment.
His death and resurrection symbolically fits in with the requirements for the Sin & Guilt offerings in Levitucs 4 & 5.
His blood is what made the atonment. It was required that the 'sacrifice' be one without blemish or defect; Jesus was without sin (as being God); so his life being offered up on our behalf as the final 'sin' and 'guilt' offering is what made the atonment. (i.e., "the life of every creature is in it's blood", Lev 17:14c.) So the purpose of the sacrifice, was not just a matter or worship, but a literal redemption offering up one life for another. The animal, given in exchange for the life of the offerer (the sinner). The Blood cleansed the person from unrighteousness, and the life of the sacrifice provided the attrition or expiation of sins on the part of the sinner. Jesus was the final sacrifice. That's why John (the baptist) said, "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world." (John 1:29).

There is also all of the other symbolism, with the blood being sprinkled on the mercy seat, and so on. But i would say, that Jesus' bloodshed on calvary for us is essential to the atonement. As it was part of the process. You cannot be atoned for without the blood of Jesus; therefore it's very important. I could go on and on about this, but i am very tired, so i will spare you the details lol.

Sin offering Leviticus 4:1-5:13; 6:24-30; 8:14-17; 13:3-22.
Guilt offering Leviticus 5:14-6:7; 7:1-6.

Brother.. I believe that its only in eternity that we will gain a better understanding of the full measure of what the Blood of the Lord Jesus is.

Hebrews 9:14
HOw much more will the blood of Christ who through the eternal Spirti offered Himself without blemish to God, purify ou conscience from dead works to serve the Living God! Hallelujah!!!

Brother mike.. the Blood of Christ was shed for the forgiveness of sins ( Matt 26:28). The NEW Covanant was consumated with it( Luke 22:20). It accomplished an eternal redemption for us.( Eph 1:7) This blood purchased the Church ( Acts 20:28).. It washes us from our sins ( 1John 1:7) Purifies our conscience...Oh brother it sanctifies us (Heb 13:12) It speaks of something better for us,unlike Abel's blood ( Heb 12:24)
This Blood gives us enterance into the Holy of Holies ( Heb 10:19)
We overcome satan the accuser ...
Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testamony and they loved not their soul life even unto death

This Blood of the Lamb is for our redemption brother and answers before God all the accusations of the devil against us and gives us the victory over him. We need to apply this blood whenever we sense the accusation of the devil. We are not perfect.. but we are under the Perfect Blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ. We need to declare this to satan whenever he accuses us.

This blood is so precious...
1 Peter 1:19
But with the precious Blood of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, the Blood Of Christ
wow

This blood brother Mike .. the Blood of Christ by which we are sprinkled, marks us out from the common people. This blood is more precious than silver or gold. The highest price was paid for our redemption that we might be redeemed from a vain manner of life,, to a holy life.

This precious blood is better than the blood of goats or bulls.. We must value it HIGHLY and Should NOT regard it a common thing like animal blood. If we do so brother .. we will suffer God's punishment.

Hebrews 10:29-31
But how much do you think he will be thought worthy of worse punishment who has trampled underfoot the Son of God and has considered THE BLOOD of the Covanant by which he was sanctified a common thing and has insulted the Spirit of Grace?

For we know Him who said.. Vengence is Mine. I will repay and again . THe Lord will judge His people"

It is a fearful things to fall into the hands of the Living God.

Lets treasure the Lord's provision for us.

Excellent question.
In Christ

Only by the blood of Jesus Christ can we be saved, healed and delivered. ONly by the blood of Jesus do we recieve the fullness of the Holy Spirit that will give us the mind of Christ and be new creation man. We arent of the old fallen sin nature, tho it tries to hit us once in awhile. WE now have the mind of Christ, those that will believe and obey and accept Jesus as their saviour.
There is no other way than thru the blood of Jesus Christ.
any religion that teaches other than that, is fasle religion.
In 2 John 7-12 God tells us anyone coming to us about God that doesnt have the full teachings of Jesus and says that are false, and to leave them alone.
Not just my words, But Gods.
To all who believe, God bless you.
To those who dont yet believe, GOd bless you .
And to all of those who will never accept Jesus, I can only say God loves you and will weap over your choice, as it has dire conseqnces, that He wants to bring on noone, But ppl who are rebellious agaisnt HIm, cant be saved.
No other way , then by the blood of Jesus. AMEN

Extremely important that is what forgives our sins. Look at Hebrews 9:22. When we are united with the blood we are washed of our sins. This is the message of Romans 6:3-13. When we are united in His death we are being washed by His blood.

IT'S EVERYTHING The blood is what covers our sins. i'd like to say something. I don't think people are childish due to the religious beliefs. I refer to things like this when people downgrade my faith. I don't downgrade theirs, If there are real questions I love to answer ,but, when they speak so evil of Jesus it cuts me to the bone. I have never downgraded any of their gods. Once Jesus was even called "darwin". Now this is when I call people inmature or childish. It is uncalled for and downgrading my Lord. He is my God and people should respect my decision. I may try to tell them of my God and the Bible BUT, I don't downgrade them. I hope the people read this that are speaking of this. Get the true facts before condeming, please.

The Bible says the Life (literally "Soul") is in the blood.
When Jesus shed His blood, He poured out His very self to redeem us to God.

"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. "

I Peter 1:17-19

Vicarious atonement is an ancient and primitive religious practice. Virtually every ancient culture went through the phase of believing that a blood offering would appease their angry gods.
