Recently throughout the months, I've been constantly thinking, praying about becoming a staff through Campus Crusade (para church) and doing ministry on campus. When I asked my parents about this, they said that my decision is up to me but they are not willing to support financially. I asked my church people but they said that they dont have enough money to hire someone as paid staff right now and due to the situation, everything seemed impossible. If I want to become a missionary through campus ministry, I know that i need to find supporters by faith. Do you think God is saying no to ministry right now because I dont have alot of supporters? is it better to go into ministry by faith finding more supporters in a meanwhile, although situation seems impossible? if it is not too comfortable is it better to delay? or is it better to go all the way believing that God could change impossible to possible? what do people do when they plan for ministry?

There you have it. Photographic proof that I'm a deceptive, lying bastard. And yet I'm supposedly more Scoutlike than 95% of Boy Scouts. I handled the responsibility of being a patrol leader, going backpacking, and finally my Eagle Project, which is many times more than most people my age have done. And yet some would say that I am going to hell, do not deserve the award, etc etc.

Does being atheist and bi-questioning mean anything with regards to this award? Keep in mind that my troop (though not the Boy Scouts as a whole) is not conservative in the least and has absolutely no stance towards homosexuality nor atheism.

Let's say that Jesus were to come to earth on a 100-day visit and would go to various stadiums, since it would probably be the only place big enough to hold the people who wanted to hear him...

Would you go?

Would he visit Notre Dame Stadium?

I think that confining a man in solitare forever is really the cruel & unusual punishment. when a person has commited 3 or more violent crimes, you'd have to reason that he must be guilty for at least 2 this sort of person doesn't belong in society, After it was God who instuted the death penality
(Genesis 9:5-6) . . .And, besides that, YOUR blood of YOUR souls shall I ask back. From the hand of every living creature shall I ask it back; and from the hand of man, from the hand of each one who is his brother, shall I ask back the soul of man. 6 Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed, for in God’s image he made man.

He didn't say he was the Messiah he said he was another Prophet. He taught similar things such as dietary restrictions, purity during menstrual cycle, one God, etc

...they'd be happy with that? Or do you think they'd next try to force gay people into 'treatment' to 'cure' their homosexuality, like they tried to force Michael Schiavo to keep his wife 'alive'?

To what extremes do you think fundamentalists would go in regards to gays?

Many people take the scripture at 2 pe 3:13 to mean that, but that contradicts what God says about the earth & Destroying all life like he did during the flood

(Genesis 8:21) . . . “Never again shall I call down evil upon the ground on man’s account, because the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up; and NEVER AGAIN SHALL i DEAL EVERY LIVING THING a blow JUST AS I HAVE DONE

Or think about the destruction told about at Jer 25:31-33 or

(Revelation 19:17-18) . . .I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God, 18 that YOU may eat the fleshy parts of kings and the fleshy parts of military commanders and the fleshy parts of strong men . . .

so since the Birds will eat the corpses, the Fire would be metaphoric

I am looking for a reasonably brief description of the Catholic religion, beliefs etc. I have been told that in many ways it is very similar to being Anglican.
Is this correct

For it is prophesied in the scripture that the sun will be hotter than ever before is it not? And if I remember right; the first go around was the the great flood. The second go around will be by fire. And the Bible also refers to a star falling from heaven (Meteor?) and the star's name was wormwood. So as for me, I believe that global warming is absolutely real! I think it is part of the prophesy. What do you think?

i'm doing a hristology project in school and i would like to know, just in general, what it means to "see" jesus as savior/messiah.

i'm not looking for specific quotes from the bible to help explain this; just a brief summary from your point of view.

thank you!
