I can understand objecting to being preached at in Science & Mathematics or whatever other atheist havens there are on this site, but why do you frequent R&S, where you know that the most ammount of Christians post on this site, and then complain about being preached at, instead of staying in categories like S&M where you belong?

Atm my OCD is really making me obsessed and making me worried ive done something wrong or might do in the future.
A question for fellow christians.
It says you are not able to lust ( i assume that means not to think of a woman and make pleasure) as it equals adultry.
But is it wrong to think of your partner (gf/bf/housband) ?
If you and your partner think of of each other during such a event is that wrong? since its not just any woman but the actual one you love? Is it wrong to engage in such events with each other ? I know sex is for after marriage but im talking about pleasing each other either in front of each other? or alone with yourself thinking of the partner

In the light of a previous question with a similar title, I begin. I find wordiness to be frustrating. When someone posts a question in a forum, especially in a forum related to topical discussion and centered around the exchange of questions and answers, it is especially frustrating when their title is followed by a long diatribe that highlights the questionable grasp of the poster of said "quesition" upon the rules and subtleties of the English language. Wordiness, especially of the rambling type to which I am subjecting you, the reader, at this time often serves no purpose except to make the poster of the "question" feel good about themself. "If I did all that typing, I must be making a valid point," seems to be the rationale behind such posts.

Does the fact that Yahoo gives a questioner 1000 characters to work with for a given question make some people feel obligated to use all of them? Also, on the opposite end of the spectrum, why do people ask multiple questions? Do you?

Hello, my name is John. I saw the contact information on everystudent.com and had some question.

Recently throughout the months, I've been constantly thinking, praying about becoming a staff through Campus Crusade (para church) and doing ministry on campus. When I asked my parents about this, they said that my decision is up to me but they are not willing to support financially. I asked my church people but they said that they dont have enough money to hire someone as paid staff right now. Due to the situation, not knowing alot of supporters around me, everything seemed impossible and hopeless. If I want to become a missionary through campus ministry, I know that i need to find supporters by faith. Do you think God is saying no to ministry right now because I dont have alot of supporters? is it better to go into ministry by faith finding more supporters in a meanwhile, although situation seems very impossible? if it is not too comfortable is it better to delay? or is it better to go all the way believing that God could change impossible to possible? what do people do when they plan for ministry? if I dont see open doors through parents and church for support, could that be the answer from God? or is God saying that I need to have faith and find supporters by obedience? What if I dont have answers from God for long time, what is the best thing?

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

"The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the "eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41), unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church." - Pope Eugene IV, Cantate Domino (1441)

Seriously... that would be incredibly childish.

Atheists aren't in "denial" of your god. Atheists aren't "rebelling" against your god. We just don't believe in your god. The vast majority of us never had any kind of "event", we just grew out of it.

? OR A RELIGIOUS BIGOT - CHRISTIAN OR OTHERS?

"Be still, and know that I AM God (and you're not!)

Truly, salvation comes by the soul leaving behind the refuge of the intellect and imagination.

Leaving behind the bedlam of suggestion where knowledge lies, you are drawn up and out of the machinery of your mind to an objective state of consciousness to "Under - stand" God (that is, to stand under God's Truth and His holy Spirit teaching and revelation)
REALIZATION acts as a counter-influence to suggestion and deception
REALIZATION( REVELATION OR ENLIGHTENMENT) SAVES!

Are you humble enough to put aside your Pride and Intellect?
Are you ready to face the Truth and feel the pain it'll bring to your ego?
Are you sure you can for-go the (false) pleasures that the lies brings to assuage you prideful ego ?

What say you all egotists out there?

When non-believers (or anybody) say MY religion (Christian) isnt real or true and talks bad, they think its ok? But when I say what they believe is wrong, they get mad? I dont care if you think my religion is false. I can say the same about your's. When I ask a question about MY religion, please dont come along and make fun of me. That is rude, and hurtful. And the information you give me about how MY religion is false, is also not very nice. I am a growing child (13 years of age) and I do not appreciate when you come along and try and teach me otherwise. So please learn to keep your opinion about my religion to yourself, unless its asked for.

Will it put a more positive spin than the traditionally negative connotation that the word atheist has, or will it turn out to be the same as the word gay, often now used as a negative slur and still a largely hated group of people.
(Homosexuals being called "gay." Used to only mean happy)

Yet they are eaten by all people.
Carp are not eaten by many people because they eat all the stuff that floats to the bottom but it's not a religious precept.
