Why don't you read the core of Hindu religion than some individuals' practices and beliefs?.Can you cite from any one World Religions' Texts which talk about "Divinity" in Pure Air,Pure Water,Pure Earth(Sand).Today all the Environmental SCIENTISTS are making " A Lot of noise about these things"
(1)PURE AIR:- "Namasthay vayo Twam eva Prathyaksham Brahmaasi"=O! Pure Air-You verily the cognisible Brahmam(GOD) Iam running here and there in search of God when you gently touch me and say "Here I am".(Taittriya Saakhaa-Yajur vedham)
(2) PURE Earth(Sand):-"Apaha Punandhu Prathiveem"=Let Pure water froM all sources purify the Earth(Sand) from Dust,Filth ,Rubbish.(Rg Vedham)
(3) Pure Water:- "Yo Apaam Aayadhanam Vedha -Aaya Dhanavaan Bhavthi=The one who Realises the Life Stabilising Water is the most valuble Property in the world ,let he/she become the most Richest person in the world.(Saama Vedham)

i have heard eastern Religions better heavily resemble technology and or clinical wondering. i have realized TM, yet nonetheless can not settle for the concept of a spirit or inner area. no one has defined it to me nicely, they use too many metaphors.. i'm a decision of atoms/chemical substances and skill.

hinduism as a religion was not founded by any one person unlike christianity or islam,it evolved in a span of many thousands of years.Hinduism teaches as that the universe originated from om kara(sound energy).......modern science tells tht its from the big bang(again sound energy)....parallels can be drawn in christanity too..
mythology has it that vishnu incarnated as matsya(fish),koorma(amphibian),varaha,etc...now we know about humans evolved from fish like ancestors....
