What makes you think that you are going to Heaven when only 144000 are going to make it?

Why does the secular news media claim the European Pope speaks for Catholics?

Catholics can't vote for the European Pope and when they try to organize in a democratic manner or bring up a topic to the European Pope about the idea of change/progress, the European Pope excommunicates them.

Isn't it absurb to declare the European Pope speaks for Catholics?

Did we chose God? Did God choose us?
Explain the reason for your belief.

Let's just skip the "there is no God" answers please!

Really, if they just see life as having meaning only in of itself... wouldn't that make them dangerous and cold-hearted...

It's like the idea, I might as well as do everything and ANYTHING I can to lead a comfortable life, because it's the only shot I have...

And if that's true then wouldn't they:

Lie, cheat, steal, and kill to get what they want???

Where in their "self-involved" life do they find the time to care about other people than themselves???

and which should not...

If you tell these stories to your children, and make them live their life by a set of rules from stories that are false in their claims, aren't you breaking some sort of Commandment?

I know some of the obvious answers here... but I'm curious as to how Christians explain to people that they should live their lives based on a book full of fictional stories written, with the apparent intent, to deceive.

I'm sure it's been asked before... Sorry.

Catholic leaders are demanding that christians boycott the new Hollywood film The Golden Compass due to the fact that it promotes atheism.

Is this just an over reaction or should we really be concerned about a move to secularism and the moral collapse that this would bring about?

In short, should atheists and their teaching be boycotted by the moral majority in order to safeguard established values?
