Hello, my name is John. I saw the contact information on everystudent.com and had some question.

Recently throughout the months, I've been constantly thinking, praying about becoming a staff through Campus Crusade (para church) and doing ministry on campus. When I asked my parents about this, they said that my decision is up to me but they are not willing to support financially. I asked my church people but they said that they dont have enough money to hire someone as paid staff right now. Due to the situation, not knowing alot of supporters around me, everything seemed impossible and hopeless. If I want to become a missionary through campus ministry, I know that i need to find supporters by faith. Do you think God is saying no to ministry right now because I dont have alot of supporters? is it better to go into ministry by faith finding more supporters in a meanwhile, although situation seems very impossible? if it is not too comfortable is it better to delay? or is it better to go all the way believing that God could change impossible to possible? what do people do when they plan for ministry? if I dont see open doors through parents and church for support, could that be the answer from God? or is God saying that I need to have faith and find supporters by obedience? What if I dont have answers from God for long time, what is the best thing?

The missionary thing..........it is the "in" thing at the moment.
An Australian missionary in India, was sleeping in his car with his 2 children and was burnt alive, they are all dead of course.
The American missionary with her child flying over Peru. Peruvian Airforce blew them out of the sky, the reason, drug runners on the plane...sure thing.!
How many more stories do you want.?

I think you have seen a missionary beg for money in a church and were impressed.
That is what they usually do, beg the congregation for money for glorified overseas travel.

Pray and ask the Lord what He would like you to do and WAIT.
You will find it will be something completely different to what you think.

I think you should go for it and let the Lord provide. My friend just started working for CCC overseas. She spent a year raising support by talking to individuals, at different churches, etc. to find those that have the same passion. She finally raised the money and is now in full time ministry. You will not see the Lord work in your life until you allow Him.

Don't be discouraged by your parent's decision. There are many out there that will be inspired by you and want to be a part of what God is doing in your life.

I do not know you, so let's look what the Bible says. It says that those who are young in the Lord should not Minister because it may lead to pride and pride leads to a fall. The main thing that you have failed to mention is how long you have been following God. How can one lead others if they are not deeply rooted in Christ. God could be preventing the financial support, but it can also be Satan. Only time will tell, but do not rush in. I believe that God will make a way, if He wants you to. He will either provide or give you a confirmation through revelation of the Holy Spirit.

God is not going to put on a show for you. This is where "faith" comes in. He doesn't crawl around in you skin like a bug, He is a way you would think. The fact that you are having these feelings about God is enough calling, all you have to do is either "pick up", or "Let the voicemail get it."

"Seeing the light" isn't physical. A beam of light won't shoot out of the sky and no giant, booming voice is going to come down and say "THIS WAY!!", no. He's in everybody's conscious, and it's your conscious gives you odd messages that might be against your normal thinking, but that's just the way God does it. :)

When called upon by God to do something, one does not rally for supporters and financial benefactors...if it is meant to be, God makes it happen. Most missionaries do it for the love of God and to obediently follow the commands of The Great Commission. Campus Crusades is a large organization that operates on a not for profit basis...that is, they rely on God to provide whatever financial means they have in order to spread the news of Jesus Christ and God's Holy Promise. It doesn't sound as if you have developed the faith to trust in God 100%. He asks a high price for those He calls...even unto death. You have to be willing to give up everything to walk with God. Can you live without being sponsored by your fellow man? Jesus did.

Whenever God has wanted me to accept a mission, be it adoption, evangilism, teaching etc., He almost lays it in my lap and gives me a heart for it at the same time.

You've heard the expression "Don't go into business, grow into business" well, the same applies here. You can evangalize without a title or organizarion. Pray for oportunity and it WILL come. If all the doors are closed to this ministry don't push it. God is totally able to make it possible. "Live up to what you've attained" and God will give you more.

God must be pleased with you and I think you're quite a guy.

God loves for us to Step out in Deep water, and if you feel He is calling you, He Probably Is. It is He who Puts the desire in your Heart. You Take one step, And He will take two. He will open the doors for you as He Provides your needs, to go into the calling He Has Placed Upon You. You must Pray and Tell Him YOU will GO where He wants You to Go, and Do what He wants You to Do. He will Help you every step of the way, If YOU Trust Him.

If God is leading you to ministry, you will naturally find yourself winding up there. Finances are the least of your worries. Just flow with it, keep an open mind, and be at peace..........most importantly. But, the world of ministry may not be what you think it will be. Many wolves live there and they will not hesitate to bleed you.........unfortunately. Feel free to email me.

stunning question! that's my very own very own tale. i'm hoping i don't sound smug, yet I even have consistently felt like i'm distinctive from human beings. not greater advantageous- not holier- not above- merely distinctive. I even have consistently enjoyed God, besides the reality that I strayed whilst i became into youthful and became my back on him. i became into rebellious as a youngster and a youthful "grownup"- if i could desire to have even been referred to as one in any respect. I listened to heavy metallic, wore black outfits, and heavily questioned my faith. I additionally had long hair. not that there is something incorrect with liking metallic or having long hair. I did some soul finding for a time, and after some years, I got here back to my faith. whilst i became into approximately 19 years previous, my uncle, who's a Baptist preacher, asked me an engaging question. i became into attending his church on the time. My uncle and another family members have been speaking approximately me, and that they concept i became into referred to as to evangelise. I felt, at that factor, like it became into genuine. I even shook palms with each and every member of the congregation when I introduced my intentions to get entangled with the ministry. I actually began working removed from myself- shamefully, my working began that very day. I have been given into fornication and sin, and forgot my calling. i think of i became into petrified of changing right into a pastor. i'm now 36 years previous, and in keeping with possibility i'm nonetheless working removed from my very own destiny. Or, in keeping with possibility, my relatives had good intentions, yet they could have been incorrect approximately my calling to evangelise. or maybe they have been certainly proper- yet my time hasn't come as yet. I merely desire i've got not ignored my calling in existence, because of the fact i could sense atrocious if that have been genuine. i'm no one specific- merely your customary Christian guy. i'm a sinner. i'm a sinner who has been working removed from himself for the previous 17 years.

I have no idea what God is saying to you, and (quite honestly) neither do you.

Our pastor talks about Christians who say "I prayed and God told me..." as another way of saying "I think..."

A former pastor said to me, when I talked about my calling, "Perhaps people can be more effective as lay members of the church". Maybe that is true of you as well. I don't know.
