*Technically: I know Catholics would forbid you, unless you had been confirmed into Catholicism.

*But practically speaking: any adult can walk into a Catholic church on Sunday (regardless of what they believe), walk down the aisle, say “Amen”, and receive communion. There is no one who stops you, forbids you, or checks your “Catholic confirmation ID”.

(And I am pressed by the Holy Spirit to solemnly warn any non-Christian from doing this, given 1 Corinthians 11:23-30!)

But addressing the non-Catholic Christians, here:
If you were to visit the Catholic Church this Sunday to see what it was like, would you be willing to partake of the bread/body and wine/blood of Jesus Christ when offered by the Priest at communion?

Why or why not?
And if not, would you be willing at another denomination church that you are not a member of?

And could you please support your stance with scripture?
That is: truth, not just opinions?

Okay, so I'm preparing to serve a mission. I'm a 20 year old female. I'm reading and praying and fasting more that I ever have in my life, but I still have some questions. They aren't really questions that can be answered by a book either... It's mostly LDS "common knowledge" but because no one is endowed in my family and obviously no one has served a mission I have a few questions.

1. How soon before you are 19/21 can you put your papers in?

2. How soon after you put in your papers can you expect your call?

3. How long is it between your call and when you leave?

4. How soon can you recieve your endowments? Before your papers/call?

5. If you could go back and prepare to serve again, what would you do differently?

6. If you could go back and serve again, what would you do differently?

7. What would you take with you that you didn't?

8. What would you have left home that you took with you?

just a very intelligent and well liked person. I believe he was crucified, but that's when everything got the 'spin' of time and politics. We will never know the real story of Jesus, that's why people still kill each other to prove their story is the right one.

If these people are professionals why should anyone doubt them? If you are doubting them, on what basis are you doubting them? Do you know something that they don't know? If you doubt them because of a gut feeling, what is giving you that gut feeling? Why is your gut feeling more right, in comparison to years of education, training, and experience?

I know the general jist of things when it comes to Scientology. I know that Scientologists believe humans should try to neutralize "thetans" which are phantom souls of long ago blown up humans or aliens attached to our bodies so we can lead the most rewarding and happy lives possible. My question is do Scientologists relate to aliens and are on "their side" so to speak or are they against them. Do they think that aliens are trying to hold humans back and are enemies of humans. (Xenu, who came to Earth to blow up the humans...or was it aliens...he was from outer space making him an alien. So since Xenu has caused these problems to humans it would mean that Scientologists see aliens as the opposing force, right?) I am asking because there are so many jokes saying that Scientologists are aliens and space cases and whatnot but I think people have misunderstood the whole concept...I think they are anythig but alien worshippers but see aliens as "the devil."

Obviously, this is the bulk of "Family Dining" restaraunts... Most Christians have no problem eating at these restaraunts, although there are undoubtably some exceptions. So if it is ok to frequent the establishment as a customer, is it also allowable to work as a waiter/waitress?

Ok...so 7 of 9 (a Christian) said the following:

"Being saved means that I will see my loved ones in heaven because I get a "get into heaven" free ticket. and anyone else who is in my family gets into heaven as well to..."

How does that make sense? "I believe in Jesus so I get into Heaven and so does everyone else in my family."

do Catholics believe the Eucharist is truly the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ? Is it true that after the priest pronounces the words of consecration during Mass saying, "for this is my body," the substance of the bread changes into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, though the appearance remains the same? If this is true, then the consecrated hosts inside the tabernacle need to be reserved with dignity and reverence, for Jesus Christ is truly present.
