Maybe not running, but I am trying to let Him into my life more each day. Why? because I have faith in Him, and I have found that when I do let Him into my life it goes a lot better and I am way happier.

I've been gradually walking away. I was raised in a strong christian family, and served over 2 years in the mission field. 8 years ago, my brother died, and during his time in the hospital there were several people who told us that God told them that my brother would recover. My eyes seemed to be opened, and I realized that this happens all the time, that people say God told them something when it wasn't really God afterall.
And, as I read the Bible I have tons of questions about different things that just don't make sense.

As an agnostic, I'm not running. I am willing to stand where I am and say that I don't know. Take that as you will. I do not want to convert others to agnosticism... or make people believe that their beliefs are wrong... because then what if I'm wrong? I'm willing to accept whatever happens to me for my questions. However... I would like it if others were willing to make the same statement. I think that true faith does not equal blind faith... so if you don't question your religion, then what kind of religion do you have? I'd wager that the Jonestown people didn't really question their religious beliefs... and look where it got them

I am neither running towards or away from him. I'm not running towards or away from, Peter Rabbit, Homer Simpson, Eric Cartman, Uncle Remus, Mary Poppins, Bartleby The Scrivener, The Artful Dodger, or Smart Bush Supporters.
One can not approach or retreat from that which does not really exist.

Neither, because He is with me everywhere I go. That's His promise to me and I believe it. "Lo, I am with you, even to the ends of the earth".
As a Christian, we know that Christ lives in us and is therefore always with us. There may be times when we may feel that He isn't there with us (especially when we do things wrong and allow the guilt and our conscience to create a barrier between us and God) but that's only our feeling - God is still there with us and all we need to do is to restore that rel;ationship by confessing our sins and getting right with Him.

I am "running toward God" (to use your figure of speech), because I love Him and I am grateful for the life and understanding he has given me.
Also, I fear God (and his wrath) - I want to partake in the world to come.

I'm sitting quite still.
I might stand up later and go for a gentle stroll. Whichever way, your god does not enter into any part of it.
I don't need an imaginary friend.

Toward. Although I would say I walk with him. I try to anyway.
I do so because I love him. He has been very good to me and my family.
Nice question. Thought provoking.
God bless you.
