Jesus spent time in India, studying. Look it up.
He wasn't God -- he was a man named Yeshua bar Yosef who was later made into a myth.

Because it was the custom of the time that a man could not preach and become as a rabbi until he was 30 years old.

In first century Judea, 30 was the age at which, if one had trained to become a rabbi, one's ministry would start. It was also the age at which most men of the priestly order would fulfill their service to the temple. So the answer is, it isn't about Jesus being God, it's about Jesus being a first-century male Jew. No one was going to listen to, say, an 18-year old rabbi; although he seemed to make an impression even before he was "of age", according to Luke's account.
As far as him studying, we have no accounts which indicate that Jesus pursued a normal rabbinic apprenticeship, although some scholars speculate he did do so under John the Baptist or under someone of the Essene sect.
Peace to you.

When Jesus came to earth He came to save all of mankind. To do this He had to fulfill the law of God given to Moses. Jesus as a man filled two offices of God's people. He is King and High Priest of the people of God by faith. He was born King. Under the law of Moses a person had to be at least thirty years old to be priest. Jesus lived a sinless life according to the law and presented himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.

30 years old in Judaism is determined to be the age of being able to minister, from priesthood to other offices, Jesus the high priest of our soul--Ist Peter
And being in the form of God, Jesus humbled himself and became man. Philippians 1
Jesus knows you got problems man, what do you need 10,000 miracles to get your attention????
"He was tempted in all ways like we are, yet he was without sin."
Jesus came to earth and veiled his glory=His God hood, to grow up as we do, not in the power of God but as a child. Did you ever hear of Christmas? Did you expect God to be born doing miracles???
"Unto us a child is born, a son is given, and He will be the mighty God, the everlasting father, the wonderful counselor and the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6
Jesus is still the answer for you and me-once i like you chose to reject him yet he dont give up.
Watch the movie The Passion of Christ
I cried most when he was in his trade of carpentry making a table and his mom comments, feeling what she would feel when he would one day die for us, and she would say "Behold my savior and my God."

If YOU lived amongst dinosaurs wouldn't you spend most of your time riding them and climbing up their backs? Kids lo-oove dinosaurs. As for the the last 20 or so, however, I think Jesus/God spent it in his mother's basement playing Ancient Pong. Isn't that what most schizophrenic virgins do? ;-)

Jesus was God in human form. As a human it was his duty to his parents to learn a trade. His father Joseph carpenter so Jesus studied carpentry.
He had to grow and learn just like everybody else before he started the task he was born to do.

A good friend of mine is a doctor-- in fact a neurosurgeon. He finally started his practice when he was 30. Did he waste the first 29 years of his life?

Very good question. Probably worthy of some time to think and study, don't you agree?
PS: I KNOW WHY, but it's awfully important that YOU find the answer for yourself.
Enjoy the trip, if you've the guts to take it.
