I know the general jist of things when it comes to Scientology. I know that Scientologists believe humans should try to neutralize "thetans" which are phantom souls of long ago blown up humans or aliens attached to our bodies so we can lead the most rewarding and happy lives possible. My question is do Scientologists relate to aliens and are on "their side" so to speak or are they against them. Do they think that aliens are trying to hold humans back and are enemies of humans. (Xenu, who came to Earth to blow up the humans...or was it aliens...he was from outer space making him an alien. So since Xenu has caused these problems to humans it would mean that Scientologists see aliens as the opposing force, right?) I am asking because there are so many jokes saying that Scientologists are aliens and space cases and whatnot but I think people have misunderstood the whole concept...I think they are anythig but alien worshippers but see aliens as "the devil."

I don't want any joke answers on how ridiculous Scientology is. I know this already. I have also mentioned that I know the premise of Scientology. What I want to know is how to Scientologists regard aliens? Like Christians have God and the Devil, (good and evil), Scientologists too must have a good and bad. So, are aliens the good or the bad for them? They are such a recurring subject in their religion I wanted to know hat role they played. I am guessing bad since the thetans on their bodies are indeed aliens which were blown up long ago by Xenu. (I was not sure if they were humans or aliens before but I read up on it and have discovered they are aliens). Please no "joke" answers, you are cluttering up the spaces with them. I actually have a question I want answered, not someone who is trying to be funny. I know there are smart people out there who want to intelligently answer this question.

Im an ex-scientologist. I spent a couple of years hanging around 2 major California centers.

First off, keep in mind that the things you posted have nothing to do with 99% of scientologists even if it is correct. The anti-scientology sites like xenu.com clearly state that is all "secret knowledge known only to the topmost members of scientology". And of course Scientology says its out-of-context quoting which is not a belief of theirs. But you do seem to have gotten the info correct. At least you didnt say something really un-researched like "they worship Xenu". :)
But like I said, even if it is correct, most scientologists dont have all that wonderful "knowledge" and they believe whatever they want to about aliens.

I would guess though, that if aliens showed up then Scientology would be amoung the first groups to accept it and seek communication, altho cautious about fully trusting them. That just seems like it would fit their general policies (which truth is true about their inner beliefs)

Well, they DO want to get rid of the space aliens that infest their brains!

It costs many thousands of dollars to do so.

Great wracket if you can find people gullible enough to actually hand over their dough on that basis!

Tell you what, I'll baptize all comers in the name of Judas Iscariot, for the retention of sins, at $600 a pop!

Scientologists are living in La La land. Asking them what they believe is tantamount to asking people in the lobotomy ward how they feel about the next American Idol.
