When you go to the zoo and look at an ape it is 100% ape! and when you look at yourself you are 100 % human, right? If evelution was true what happend to the creatures who are in transition? say 90% and and 10 % human and so on. Remember evelution is supposed to go on forever!

Can you tell me who mihgt be that one powerful enough who could have stopped the ape to human evelution abruptly and killed off all the creatures in transition?

All the answere I got so far are beating around the bush. Even if there was evolution, it looks a very intelligent power has been controlling it. If not the the human race will be like a zoo. the offsprings of a guy who uses his hand a lot will have larger hands and it will continue to grow larger along the way. Same goes for each body part. And you can imagine how bazzare looking the offsprings of a guy who has a desk job will be.

Apes are 100% ape. They used to be 100% something else. But supposedly, we and apes used to be 100% the same thing.

But hey, how about this: What if we're not 100% human? What if not 100% of our physical traits are actually uniquely human, and about 70% of our traits are like those of an ape?

Oh boy.

To begin, when you look at the “ape” at the zoo, it is not “100%” ape. And we, as humans, are not 100% human. We aren’t. That’s one of the biggest foundations of evolution right there. We share some 95-99% of our DNA (someone correct me on that I can’t quite remember the exact percentage) with chimpanzees, and lower 90th percentiles with other “apes”. We are mostly ape, if not all ape, with a different intellectual form. (As far as we know).

To answer your question of where these elusive “transition” creatures may be, I welcome you to open your eyes. Natural selection, evolution’s sidekick, is what keeps the transition characters in check. The ones with the most favorable traits survive. Therefore, hypothetically, the apes that genetically mutated over time through evolution had different traits. The ones who could find the food the best, and adapt the best to their environments, survived. Over time, the evolved forms performed better and better, subsequently killing the lesser-evolved forms by outperforming them. This leads to what you assume to be a “final” form, because the lesser-evolved forms die out.

That’s the very, very simple answer. We could go into genetics, historical biology, etc. I recommend reading Dawkin’s “Selfish Gene” or other works to really understand what were talking about here.

There’s a hundred reasons why what you said is uneducated, uninformed, and simply stupid to say regardless if you’re a creationist or a diehard evolutionist. Simply put, refer to your grade-school science textbook before speaking again.

Which ape? There are several of them.

they are all genetically closely related, just as chimps are very close genetically to humans.

All the creatures that evolved from the proto apes/hominids died out because they were out-evolved by the subsequent species. A few of them did leave their bones behind though. We have found enough of them to closely follow the trail from primates to Homo Sapiens.

BTW, I do not 'believe' in evolution, any more than I 'believe' in gravity. It is a demonstrated fact. No belief is required.

Apes are members of the superfamily hominoidea, which includes humans. So both humans and the apes you see at the zoo are '100% ape'.
And all species, including humans are in transition. Evolution hasn't finished, each generation is still genetically different from the previous generation.

People don't "believe in" evolution. They are just knowledgeable about it. Others are ignorant of it. This applies equally to atheists and believers. Many atheists are educated in the biological sciences, and so are many Christians. Likewise many atheists and many Christians are ignorant of the basic tenets of science. But the really sad thing is when Christian think that the Bible tells them they must reject the clear evidence of science. Most Christians however do not think that. I certainly don't.

John F ! You are WRONG WRONG WRONG ! You didn't understand his question . He is asking about *evelution* . In evelution the transition creatures strap bombs to their bodies and go to Pizza Parlors .

unfortunately, humans have evolved enough to develop a social infrastructure in which the weak survive and reproduce and so the horrible spelling and ignorance of science continue....
