I think that confining a man in solitare forever is really the cruel & unusual punishment. when a person has commited 3 or more violent crimes, you'd have to reason that he must be guilty for at least 2 this sort of person doesn't belong in society, After it was God who instuted the death penality
(Genesis 9:5-6) . . .And, besides that, YOUR blood of YOUR souls shall I ask back. From the hand of every living creature shall I ask it back; and from the hand of man, from the hand of each one who is his brother, shall I ask back the soul of man. 6 Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed, for in God’s image he made man.

No, especially if you use lethal injections, which they are now are complaining it's inhumane :( I mean if you were going to be put to death against your will, would you rather die by electric chair (which scares me), hanging, beheading, or a lethal injection.

I'd vote lethal injection and god knows there's more I could put down as cruel and unusual, remember the dark ages people????

The ban on "merciless and unusual punishment" is a relative situation. the certainly theory is to make the effects for crimes somewhat standardized, and not merely flow away an executioner to their very own creativity in devising strategies of ending the existence of the condemned. there is merely no help for the theory that the dying penalty consistent with se replaced into to be banned by using this, because it looks in proximity to a provision that prohibits the government from taking someone's "existence, liberty, or assets without due technique of regulation". if that they had meant the dying penalty to be unconstitutional, the requirement for due technique does no longer have coated the taking of existence. i might agree that there are capacity execution strategies that is merciless and unusual. putting isn't one in all them. that's somewhat quickly, and has been around for millenia. Boiling in oil may be merciless, as might tossing somebody right into a pit of untamed, hungry canine. Burning on the stake may be out, as might any approach which you will anticipate to reason screaming may be a no brainer on the cruelty scale. I see no longer something merciless approximately deadly injection, if there have been, i may be at a loss to describe why PETA hasn't protested it getting used on aged housepets. i'm not sure on one approach. i'm not sure whether sticking a pair of scissors right into a cranium and sucking out the brains may be merciless and unusual. apparently lots of individuals have not have been given any situation with that approach, yet some thing approximately it makes me uneasy.

The problem I have with the death penalty is a lot of guys go to prision for stuff they didn't really do and later they find out they didn't do it.
It would have to be a case where he admitted he did it or someone saw him do it.
Say, he goes into a school or bar or what ever and open fires and kills several people. There was eye witnesses to this event. But he says, I was high or drunk. that is no excuse.
He killed them people saw him do it. He should be executed.
by lethal injection.

First off, Solitaire is a card came. Solitary is being confined away from others.

The death penalty is surely not unusual.

As far as being cruel I suppose that depends on your definition of cruel.

Is the guillotine more cruel if you put the person in the device face down or face up?

Either way you're dead!

I agree with your death penalty thing, but not for the same reason. I think that by keeping people in jail for longer time it is just taking up space in our jails and costing us more money. Also, It's more cruel to keep them in jail than to kill them, i mean if you die you die, but if you stay in jail you still have to deal with everything life throws at you. I don't know a lot about god or anything so i can't really say much for that. I'm definetly for the death penalty though.

I don't believe that the death penalty is righteous, that is cause i don't believe anyone has the moral authority to decide upon another person life, People have to understand that maybe if they had been upon that person circumstances they would have acted the same way, don't say you wouldn't cause that would be a lie. Then how can we punish a victim of circumstances, thus we shall lock them away since they cant be freed, but we shall not forfeit their lives.

The current problem in society is that they are finding that many convicted of crimes were innocent. As a result, the death penalty was suspended in Illinois. My personal feelings are why should we support a person for life that has killed another, so I am for the death penalty, if the person is truly guilty, and depending on the circumstances.

The death penalty has been proven to be flawed. Too many innocent people have been put to death. Even if we did have a system that proved guilt, then I still feel that it is cruel and unusual punishment. Jesus was about compassion and forgiveness not vengeance.

Sure, especially if you're one of the countless innocent people who get killed. Enough lunatics get together and decide that God is talking to them so it's OK to kill. If it's really not OK we'll find a book that says it is. Better yet we'll just write one.

Na - I agree with Ron White. If you kill someone you should be killed back. And not in some expensive way either. Cyanide pills are a helluva lot faster than the expensive injection IMO.
