My mom started going to church about a year ago, she's 71. She went till she was a young adult, then only visited at holidays. She had a mental breakdown a couple years back, had to deal with an alcoholic daughter of 43 doing naughty things on a sex cam (wasn't me..). And being forced to raise her grandson for awhile, leaving my dad and her nearly separating after almost 50 years of marriage. She needed to find solace in her life that had to come from a far greater force than her family. Yep, God and Ativan...whatever works.

Some people don't get saved until middle age or older and others are just afraid because they are getting older. Joining a church without being saved does no one any good when death comes. I'm sure you know that.

Because they led "sinful" lives where they had all kinds of fun and made decisions for themselves and lived life and learned from it, and now that they are over the hump and see death coming they do it "just to be safe" so they don't go to the imaginary hell they've been hearing about forever. Happens all the time, like my grandma.

What is your evidence that younger people aren't going to church?
