Religion & Spirituality - 1 December 2007

I've seen some very good comments and discussion from Muslims today, as well as some rather stupid ones from both the Christian faith and the nutters who think they are worshipping Islam, yet are destroying their own faith.
Radicalism is an evil we can all do without,and seeing pictures of sword waving lunatics seeking blood for something so stupidly innocent, yet offensive to them, makes me feel that if any people from their country are over here and even so much utter the words "Benefits" or "Religion" then we should give them 200 lashes and stick them back on a plane to a primitive country where that poop belongs.
Religion is a curse in the wrong hands, which is perhaps why I don't believe in any God.
Would you agree with my opinions, or argue for your religion?
This is open to all faiths, though admittedly I am not religious, but I would be interested to hear your views.

Does the following verse say we only belong to the house of Jesus if we hold fast to the end? So if we do not hold fast wouldn't that mean we lost our salvation?

Ive been visiting the last couple of Sundays and I like how they
refer to EVERYBODY as a Perfect Child of God.
Meditation is also included in the service and it's great!

I have had e-mail contact with some born again christians and they all tell me that accepting Jesus as your saviour is not enough to be a christian and that I never was (I'm an ex-christian but that's not relevent here).
Does this attitude annoy you?

This is one of the ways Jesus reminds us of the penalty he paid at Calvery! He wants us to be saved and live with Him in Heaven. Jesus said in John 3:3 that we must be Born Again. John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. How do we get to Jesus? Jesus said in Matthew 4:17, Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. In Romans 10:9,That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Just pray this short prayer and you can be saved, Dear Jesus I confess to you I am a sinner and I ask you to come into my heart and save me, I believe in the Bible and I believe you are the Son of God, in Jesus Name Amen.

I believe some persons think they are Christians when in actuality they are decieved into worshiping a religion or a church. Satan is very wise and can blind the eyes and minds of some into believeing they are saved. At one time humans were relatively thin, and we all had dark skin. These survival traits took thousands of years to weave their way into the genetic pool, and millions of poorly adapted individuals had to die in order for these traits to become dominant.

Even intellectually limited beings like ourselves can see sexual reproduction is a slow, random, inefficient means of modifying the genome. When humans want "better" plants and animals, we engineer them ourselves, bypassing the random inefficiency of "god/nature."

If god can create perfection on a whim, why doesn't this intelligent, loving creator do what we do, and make his most cherished creations better adapted? Does he enjoy waste and needless death? Is this "intelligent?"
