This is one of the ways Jesus reminds us of the penalty he paid at Calvery! He wants us to be saved and live with Him in Heaven. Jesus said in John 3:3 that we must be Born Again. John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. How do we get to Jesus? Jesus said in Matthew 4:17, Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. In Romans 10:9,That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Just pray this short prayer and you can be saved, Dear Jesus I confess to you I am a sinner and I ask you to come into my heart and save me, I believe in the Bible and I believe you are the Son of God, in Jesus Name Amen.

It makes me SICK! I can't imagine Jesus' approval of this act. In fact, we are told not to have graven images. Even if the Bible never said that, WHY wear a cross on your neck?? If someone I love died in a car accident, I wouldn't wear a crashed car around my neck to remember them, would you?
Side point...
Just pray this short prayer and you can be saved, Dear Jesus I confess to you I am a sinner and I ask you to come into my heart and save me, I believe in the Bible and I believe you are the Son of God, in Jesus Name Amen.
Why would this prayer have special meaning? First it is insincere. We are told to worship (prayer is worship) from the heart. Why not say a prayer from your heart? Second, why pray to Jesus? Jesus told us to pray to his Father.

How come your prayer of salvation left out the part about confessing Him as Lord with your mouth that results in salvation? That is the problem today, people want the salvation without the Lordship. They want to continue to live just as they always have and be the lord of their own lives.

No, it reminds me of who killed Jesus. The reasons of jealousy and hatred. Christ Jesus is now in heaven and is awaiting the time for his return to conquer the evil at Armageddon. Don't you notice that the history of the crucifixion of Christ Jesus was the Romans and the Sanhedrin's responsible for Jesus death? Now is that the religion called Catholics because Roman Catholics. They sure like to wear the cross that soaked the blood of Jesus. Connection to remind them "who" killed Jesus.

Since you are a Christian, I don't know if you will accept what I have to say. But:
No, it reminds of its original form, thr Anhk, which was a symbol used in ancient Egypt. It symbolizes life or "life principle."
Another ancient cross used by many religions, is the equal armed cross, representing the four cardinal directions and their guardians: Air, Earth, Water, Fire.

It reminds me that some are fortunate to know the truth…whilst others are still in self imposed ignorance….
It reminds me with the fact that some people wouldn’t see beyond the myth and underestimates God's words…
It reminds me with the human fragility and simple mind-ness…

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
